Why even bother to type and post this if it's based purely on the title and description, you have no idea about this novels direction or it's quality same with any other novel/s you probably do this on. I don't think I am confusing it, I just checked online and my definition for integrity is correct. I have a question for you, why do authors go to great lengths to give a novel appropriate names, descriptions and pictures? Why are we provided with genres, events and various types of ratings for a novel? Is it not for it to be judged by us the viewers, to get a first impression, to determine whether we want to use our time to read it.
what you describe is what i said, cover of a book. you be leaving lacklaster reviews just from looking at cover is lacking integrity. deciding to read or not based on cover is fine, making assumption that its bad based on cover is not. hope you are not tanking ratings as well, those are skewed as is already

on my own judgement solitary judgement with no experience, no. by same token would you consider drinking cup of clean looking water? you wont know its vodka till you try it. beer looks like piss yet is most popular drink, would you drink a water looking like piss without knowing beer? if there was someone who did, we would havea review of it and could make better judgement. you have not tried beer yet chasing people off claiming its looking a piss. you might noticed some be asking for poison testers on some novels, most of us here already know that trusting covers, summaries and tags are foolish thing and expect worst
Yes, I won't know if the glass filled with a liquid like clear water really is clear water, but If given the choice between drinking suspicious green liquid or a liquid that looks like clear water, I would choose the 2nd option, it still is a gamble, simply because I don't know any safe muddy green liquid, but I do know multiple safe clear water looking liquids, I am basically trying to push the odds in my favour by using the information I know.

My comment is not review of the story/chapters of the novel, instead it is the review of a novels picture, title, description and tags that the author made to supplement his story and attract our curiosity. I am basically making a bet with myself whether my assumptions were right or wrong, if they were right nobody would comment and attract my attention to this novel, if they were wrong I will be notified. Your last line, are you saying that you have read this novel and your review is correct while mine is wrong as I have not read it? Where is your review?

While I can understand what you mean, but if you had read my comment fully you would have understood it's real meaning, saying DEFINITELY can be understood as +1 with the statement below saying that it is lackluster means the above statement is superficial, therefore it is -1, the statement below implies that my mind is not sealed in stone and is fine with change, meaning I don't have sufficient confidence to mindlessly enforce my opinion, another -1. When the receiver does not understand the message, it is not the receiver who is wrong, but the sender who has not fulfilled his duty to send an understandable message. In short, if your message needs to follow your logic to be interpreted, then it is wrong, nobody will waste time reading and interpreting your comment, even more so that you are not writing for yourself but for others.
I agree with the first part of your comment, But I am not the one who created the English language, and thus do not make the laws regarding the matter of how one understands it. If someone has put the time and effort to reply to my comment then it is common sense to believe that they would also have put in time and effort to read and interpret my comment.
