Tsundere Campus Goddess and Rogue Master

Chapter 5

C5 – Tong Boss

“I, I’m not in love with you, you shameless bastard!”

Ding Mengqi finally regained her composure at that moment. Her face flushed, and she retorted to Wu Tian Jiao.

Narcissist!

“Don’t think that just because you saved me, I’ll forgive those shameless words you said!”

Proudly, Ding Mengqi turned around, intending to leave the alley. Little did she know that she applied too much force, and with a creak, her ankle twisted, instantly turning red and swollen.

“En, it hurts!”

The pain in her ankle was immense. Ding Mengqi cried out, and her delicate body began to fall forward. In response, Wang Xiao quickly reached out and caught her, holding her waist.

“Thank you!”

Still in shock, Ding Mengqi reflexively thanked him. However, as she lifted her beautiful eyes and saw Wang Xiao giving her an impish smile, her pretty face immediately turned red. She quickly pushed Wang Xiao away and declared, “Go away! I don’t need you to hold me.”

Nevertheless, she didn’t manage to push Wang Xiao away. Instead, he carried her like a domineering prince.

“As a gentleman, how can I see a beauty’s foot injured and not offer assistance?”

Wang Xiao smiled faintly at Ding Mengqi, ignoring the gangsters he had just beaten up. With her in his arms, he walked out of the alley.

Ding Mengqi noticed the tenderness in Wang Xiao’s smile and gently closed her small mouth. She leaned into his arms and enjoyed the warmth against her chest, feeling like a contented kitten.

If those suitors at Forest City University knew that their ice queen teacher, whom they had a crush on, was nestled against a young man like this, they would undoubtedly be infuriated and gnash their teeth in frustration!

……

“How do you feel now?”

Ding Mengqi sat on a chair placed on a street bench while a pair of red high heels rested in front of her. Her delicate jade foot was being massaged by Wang Xiao, who smiled and gazed directly at her.

The soft streetlight illuminated Ding Mengqi’s snow-white face, accentuating her biting of her red lips. Her shy eyes shimmered in the light.

She nervously glanced around, seemingly anxious about encountering someone she knew. Additionally, she felt a bit bashful about having her foot massaged by Wang Xiao.

Gazing quietly at Wang Xiao, Ding Mengqi found herself increasingly captivated by his sharp facial features, well-defined eyebrows, and mesmerizing eyes, all of which made her heart beat faster.

“Yes, good, much better.”

Ding Mengqi lightly bit her lip and murmured softly. Wang Xiao’s massage was remarkably comfortable, and she noticed that her swollen ankle had significantly improved.

“It is getting late. I will send you back first.”

Ding Mengqi’s soft lips seemed almost boneless and felt incredibly pleasant. Yet, Wang Xiao didn’t display any reluctance to let go. When the massage was almost done, he released her foot and smiled at Ding Mengqi.

“No, no need. I will go back myself.”

Blushing, Ding Mengqi put on her red high heels and shook her head at Wang Xiao as she spoke.

“What do you mean? You called yourself a gentleman. How could a gentleman let a lady go home alone, especially when her foot injury hasn’t completely healed yet!”

Wang Xiao looked at Ding Mengqi with a serious face and said.

“But can a gentleman secretly touch a lady’s thigh while carrying her on his back?”

Ding Mengqi playfully rolled her eyes at Wang Xiao and teased him. She remembered how this rascal had taken advantage of her when he carried her out earlier.

“Cough cough… That was just an accident.”

Wang Xiao coughed awkwardly and said weakly.

Ding Mengqi grinned knowingly as she noticed the bashful expression on Wang Xiao’s gentle face.

Her cheeks turned slightly red, and her snow-white arms opened up invitingly. In a hushed tone, she whispered to Wang Xiao, “Let’s go!”

Wang Xiao was taken aback for a moment, but a smile quickly spread across his face. He promptly bent down and carried Ding Mengqi on his back, following the direction she indicated.

Nestled in Wang Xiao’s arms, Ding Mengqi couldn’t help but feel a bit shy.

It was the first time in her life that a man carried her twice in a day, and both times, it was the same man. The second time, she had initiated it herself.

What was wrong with her? Why did she trust this boy in front of her so much?

Could it be that she subconsciously didn’t mind Wang Xiao’s little pranks on her?Updat𝒆d fr𝒐m nov𝒆lb(i)n.c(o)m

The thought made Ding Mengqi’s cheeks flush with red, her mind brimming with various contemplations.

“Beautiful sister, is this the place to live? It’s so big!”

Standing in front of Grand Martial Master’s house at Forest City University, Wang Xiao blinked at Ding Mengqi, who was behind him, and spoke.

“Wang Xiao, thank you for saving me. Here, take this money and use a taxi to get back.”

Ding Mengqi gently eased herself out of Wang Xiao’s arms, blushing slightly as she pulled out a few hundred yuan from her waist pouch. She handed it to Wang Xiao.

“Handsome guy, I’m feeling a little thirsty. How about you invite me in?”

Disregarding the money Ding Mengqi offered, Wang Xiao playfully suggested with a mischievous smile.

“These few hundred bucks should be enough for you to get some water.”

Realizing what Wang Xiao was getting at, Ding Mengqi’s face turned even redder, and she quickly thrust the money into Wang Xiao’s arms. Then she dashed away to her apartment.

Watching Ding Mengqi’s alluring figure as she entered the apartment, Wang Xiao chuckled and rubbed his nose. His eyes gleamed as he murmured, “Now I understand why the old man’s life at the mountain’s base is so vibrant. I’ve become a believer. Hehe, this lovely lady, I’m definitely going to flirt with her!”

After expressing his intentions, Wang Xiao casually ran his hand through his hair, turned around, and made a dashing exit.

……

On the top floor of the Chen Group building, in the office.

“What? The two bronze assassins sent by the Rebirth Camp are dead? Useless bunch!”

Seated behind his desk, a middle-aged man in a suit wore a gloomy expression as he cursed at the bald man standing before him.

“Director Chen, based on the reports from our spies near Tong Waner’s villa, that night, the two assassins managed to eliminate the guards outside. However, they were caught off guard by another skilled individual within the villa. One of the killers was swiftly taken down, and the other fled in panic, only to be chased and killed by this expert.”

The baldy’s face revealed signs of panic. He avoided making eye contact with the middle-aged man but quickly recounted the whole incident.

“Who is this expert?” Chen Peng furrowed his brows and asked with a deep voice upon hearing this.

“It is Tong Waner’s cheap fiancé, Wang Xiao!” The baldy said.

“What? How could it be him?”

Chen Peng’s face displayed a hint of shock as he spoke in a deep voice.

A moment later, his expression changed to one of realization. “Ah, I see. I was referring to Tong Shan, that old fox. How could he not arrange for a few experts to secretly protect his daughter? So, this expert… He’s his son-in-law!”

“Chief Chen, what do we do now? We are in a land dispute with the Tong Group. We didn’t hesitate to employ the killers from Rebirth Camp to assassinate Tong Waner. But now, the assassination attempt has failed. Will that guy, Tong Shan, cause trouble for us?” The baldy nervously asked Chen Peng.

At this point, the baldy looked at Chen Peng timidly, seeking guidance.

Observing the baldy’s flustered demeanor, Chen Peng frowned, and a hint of dissatisfaction flashed in his eyes.

“Assassination of Tong Waner? What does that have to do with us?” A cold smile appeared on Chen Peng’s face as he shrugged his shoulders. He said to the baldy, “Baldy, you’ve been with me for so long, why are you acting so differently now?”

“Director Chen, it’s already this time. Don’t play around…”

Upon hearing Chen Peng’s words, the baldy was taken aback and failed to react immediately. He hadn’t even finished his sentence when he noticed the sinister grin on Chen Peng’s lips, and suddenly, it dawned on him what was going on.

He patted his head a few times and chuckled. “Chief Chen, you’re truly clever. Yes, about the Tong Family’s daughter’s assassination, we had no knowledge of it, and we expressed our condolences. We should prepare some gifts and pay our respects to the Tong Family!”

Observing the baldy finally understanding and putting two and two together, a satisfied glint flashed in Chen Peng’s eyes.

“Good, I’ll leave this matter to you. Ensure that the Tong Family sees the sincerity of the Chen Group!”

He waved his hand and instructed the baldy.

“Don’t worry, Chief Chen. I’ll handle it diligently. You can count on me!” The baldy’s lips curled into a smirk as he assured Chen Peng.

After saying that, he turned around and left the office. Gathering his men, he prepared to give it his all.

Within the Lin’s Group building in the Eastern City of Forest City.

A middle-aged man with a serious demeanor sat before his office desk, quietly perusing the documents in front of him.

Swoosh…

At that moment, a faint sound of air being torn reached the office. It was as if someone had entered, but the middle-aged man was the sole occupant in the room.

“He’s back? Gui Ying?”

The middle-aged man smiled and said without raising his head.

” En, I’m back. “

A hoarse voice sounded in the office, but it could be heard and no one could be seen.

“Is Waner’s girl alright?”

The middle-aged man stopped what he was doing and asked in a deep voice, with a hint of concern in his tone.
