The WealthTap System: Rising from Rags to Riches

Chapter 24 That's Arianne?!

Tap Tap...Tap

A harmonious sound echoed through the long, bright porch as the heels of a beautiful lady clicked against the pavement. She walked with elegant grace, her body swaying like a flower in a gentle breeze.

Her outfit consisted of ripped jeans, a high-neck sweatshirt, and a long white shrug that flowed gracefully behind her with every step.

Despite her funky style, her grace remained intact, and her fair skin seemed to glow like the moon in the dark sky, contrasting beautifully with her black top.

With a stunning smile, she emerged from the porch and stood before the gate of her hostel when she heard some ongoing chatter from her hostel mates.

"Shit! Who is that handsome guy on the bike?" exclaimed one young girl in awe.

"He's looking at our hostel! Does he like someone here?" asked the girl's friend, her excitement matching that of her companion.

"Go ask for his number!" urged the third girl, giving the first girl a little nudge toward the guy, who stood leaning on his exquisite sports bike in front of the hostel's gate.

Dressed in a black suit against the white bike, his tall figure was as if highlighted by a spotlight.

He stood there calmly with his hands on the bike, just looking at the hostel gate with calm eyes, obviously waiting for someone.

*Tap* *Tap*

The whispering girls suddenly heard some footsteps and they quickly turned to the source, only to find an unbelievably beautiful girl walking toward the gate.

"T-That's Arianne, right?" the first girl murmured, disbelief clearly apparent in her voice.

"Y-Yeah..." second girl also nodded, her body frozen in shock.

"I have never seen Aria dressed in such dresses, she is always in those business clothes," the third girl remarked, her reaction a little more composed than her roommates.

Aria heard their whispering again but this time, she ignored them with a smile on her face. She looked at the gate and her gaze coincidentally met with the handsome man on the bike.

Her steps paused as soon as their eyes met, they both kept looking at each other, surprised by the high-profiled and attractive dresses the other party was wearing!

"I guess we coincidentally matched the dress color," Aria shook away her momentary daze and said to get rid of her earlier embarrassing reaction to Chris's charm.

"That's a sign," Chris smiled and didn't elaborate on what the 'sign' was, but, Aria wasn't dumb either, she had a pretty close idea of what he meant and a small blush crept up her cute face.

"Please," Chris sensed her embarrassment and politely gestured for her to sit behind him.

"I expected you to bring a car," Aria murmured while sitting behind Chris.

"You like the car more?" Chris asked while firing Duke's engine

"Well, they are more comfortable."

"True. But, bike is more fun!" Chris grinned and suddenly pulled the bike's accelerator to the max!

Duke made a low wheelie, eliciting a shrill, high-pitched yelp from Aria.

Her face contorted in fear as she hugged Chris's waist to save herself from falling!

Aria was having the worst day of her life... however, Chris was having the best day of his life! Aria was hugging him so tightly that he could feel all her soft body with vivid details!

If it was any other time, Aria would have been blushing red due to this, but alas, she was more worried about her dear life currently.

"SLOW DOWN THE BIKE!" Aria shouted, still clinging to Chris like a cute koala hugging a tree.

"I can't hear you~" Chris grinned widely and leaned the bike in the right direction to make a smoother turn without losing a lot of speed.

"CHRIS!" Aria shouted but Chris easily ignored her shouts.

Soon the bike entered the highway, making Chris's driving take an even wilder turn while Bike's speed broke his earlier record of 140 kmph speed!

Aria's white long shrug flapped wildly in the air like Superman's cape when he flies!

A frightened expression was still on her attractive face, but for some reason, she wasn't screaming as much anymore. Maybe she got tired of screaming, or began liking it, no one knows.

"We are here," Chris announced while applying brakes in front of a big wide restaurant whose entrance boldly stated its name with pride,

// The Highway Treat //

Its name might not be as catchy and attractive as bigger restaurants in other cities, but it was actually a world-famous restaurant chain that had franchise outlets in over 1000+ cities!

After feeling the bike pausing, Aria slowly slipped out of the bike's seat and glared at Chris hatefully.

Her whole body felt sick from traveling at such high speeds and she barely felt she will be able to eat anymore!

"Now now, no need to glare at me, admit the fact that it was fun," Chris grinned seeing Aria's cute pout and her deadly glare, he neared his face closer to hers and whispered seductively.

"I-It was not!" Aria blushed seeing the distance between their faces, but, her anger was still high so she ended up shouting.

"Haha, come on. Let's go in." Chris kicked the bike's stand and smiled at Aria.

"Hmph," Aria pouted and harrumphed.

"You are so cute." Chris chuckled carelessly, not thinking about the effect his reckless praise can bring.

"A-Am I?" Aria turned to Chris with blushing cheeks.

'No matter how angry or haughty a girl, they always love praises, especially if the praise comes from the person they are close to', this was one of the things Max taught but Chris ended up forgetting it.

"Huh? Y-Yeah, I mean, you are very cute." Chris broke the eye contact and answered shyly.

"I-I see," Aria murmured.

"Let's go already, I have booked a table." Chris changed the topic quickly and held Aria's hand, pulling her towards the entrance of the restaurant.

"Yeah, yeah." Aria chuckled at his embarrassment and allowed herself to be led by Chris.

...

"By the way, I still haven't forgiven you for the bike incident!" Aria berated while sitting opposite Chris's seat on a nicely decorated table.

It was an open-roof restaurant, the vast starry sky clearly visible allowing the customers to bathe in the serene sunlight.

In the whole wide garden, there were just barely 5 tables around with a lot of gaps between every table.

Even though the source of light was electric lamps that were placed nearby every table, a romantic pink candle was kept in the center of the table as its playful yellow flame flickered.

Candle emanated a sweet aroma that soothed the mind and warms the heart.

This was the premium dinner table that Max had suggested for Chris's date, and Chris was really grateful for his expert choice!

Hearing Aria's words, Chris looked at her with a smile, and just like Max had suggested, he didn't hesitate and threw a cheesy flirt at Aria...
