Back then, she had brought nothing with her when she escaped from the hotel. Two months later, she found out that she was pregnant. She originally considered abortion, but in the face of three innocent lives, she hesitated. In the end, she gave birth to three children—two boys and a girl. Over the years, she met many kind people as she raised her children, and that gave her the strength to carry on. Although life was tough, at the age of 25, she was leading a happy life with her children.

She was no longer an orphan and finally had a family. The children were her most important treasures and she cherished them dearly. She would do her best to take good care of them and give them a happy home, so that they would never have to suffer.

However, because she had not completed university and only had a high-school diploma, not to mention she had to look after three children, she could not find a stable job. Fortunately, she was good-looking and could work as a car model. Although it was not regular, the hours were short and her income could support her family. When the children were older, she would be able to look for another job, work hard and earn more money!

Her only grievance was against the man who had bullied her that day. He took advantage of her, yet bore no responsibility for so many years, and even gained three children, to boot! Every time she thought of it, she became furious! She hoped she would never have to see him again in this life!

“Mommy, why are you chewing so hard on the vegetables? Do you have a grudge against them?” Li Baobao asked, with her mouth full of food. Mommy said that she wanted to eat more vegetables, but Li Baobao preferred meat!

Li An’an immediately put on a smile. She did not want her baby to be affected by her negative emotions.

“No, silly. You have to chew carefully before swallowing. Slow down when you eat, Baobao. Only then will you grow taller!”

“Okay, I got it, Mommy~” Li Baobao nodded vigorously.

Li An’an stroked her daughter’s soft hair. Due to malnutrition during pregnancy, Li Baobao had to be placed in an incubator when she was born. She had been in poor health ever since she was young, and was prone to colds, coughs and clammy skin. She was also shorter than her two brothers, so Li An’an had been worried sick.

After dinner, Li An’an let the children watch television while she did skincare. The competition in the car modeling industry was intense, so she had to maintain her figure and her beautiful face. Only then could she raise her children better, and not be pushed out by the new models! She worked hard every day and believed that her life would definitely get better! She wanted to buy a big house for her children, and let them attend the best schools! This was her goal and she would fight for it!

In the Small Living Room

The three children quietly switched the television to the financial channel. On the screen, a cold-looking man was getting out of a black Rolls-Royce. His shiny, black leather shoes stepped on the red carpet, and his every move exuded a fierce aura.

Li Jùnjùn covered his mouth and whispered, “Brother, is that Daddy?”

Because the man on the television resembled his brother, it must mean the man also resembled Li Jùnjùn. That must also mean he must be their father.

Li Junjun raised his beautiful, narrow eyes and said reluctantly, “I’m not sure.”

Li Baobao walked over with her doll in her arms. “Oh, that means it’s probably 50% true. Can I ask him for ice-cream, Brother?”

She saw that other children had daddies to buy them ice-cream, so she wanted a Daddy too—a Daddy to hug, and to buy her candy! Delicious ones!

Li Junjun picked up his sister and kissed her tender face.

“Yes, of course. Ask him for a hundred, and give one to each of us when you come back. The rest is yours.”

Li Baobao calculated. A hundred ice-creams—two for her brothers, and there would be 98 left. Mommy said that she could only eat one a day, which meant that she would have many ice-creams to eat for many days.

“Okay!”

She nodded vigorously, overjoyed.
