Novel Bin Chapter 13 God Tamer
The blade harpy's bladed leg was approaching my neck. Seeing that, I already saw the vision of my head flying high as blood spurted. However, contrary to my imagination, it didn't happen.
*clang!*
A saber suddenly appeared right in front of my neck, catching the bladed leg in place.
"Wow, that was close! Are you fine over there buddy?"
The man asked with a grin. However, instead of his question, I was surprised by his sudden appearance. I didn't feel his presence at all until he blocked the harpy's leg. Rather, it seems that he just suddenly popped beside me with his saber propped.
Similar to me, the harpy's expression was mixed with both surprise and fear. Wait, fear?
Before I even saw his saber move, the upper and lower halves of the harpy's body fell to the ground with a thud. The expression of the harpy was still that of surprise and fear.
"There, with this, you should be safe. Ah, I already took care of the small gecko over there."
The man said as he pointed somewhere to his back, probably where my room was before. I can't help but be amazed at how quickly he finished everything.
"T-Thank you... Argh!!"
As I was about to say my thanks, probably due to opening my mouth, a clump of blood rushed out of my mouth. Ember, worried about me, undid the transformation and worriedly bounced around me as I lay on the ground immobile. All my joints are hurting, and my tendons and muscles probably snapped clean. Rather than pain, I can only feel a numb sensation all over my body.
"Oh, so it really was a big slime! Amazing, what an ingenious application! See, Zeta, I told you!"
The man shouted excitedly to the empty space beside him. Before the idea that he was insane entered my mind, the space there rippled as a long-haired beauty slowly appeared.
"Yeah, yeah, alright. Before you get excited there all alone, why don't you heal this poor guy first?"

After saying so, the man quickly kneeled beside me before waving his hand over me from head to toe.
"There, this should be fine. I also healed your slime just in case."
Hearing that he already healed me, I tried to sit on the ground. To my surprise, I was already completely healed. There was no flashy light show or anything, nor did I feel anything but I was healed completely. What a strange and powerful ability.
"My king~! I already finished healing all the injured civilians~! Please praise me~?"
"Oh, good work Eta. Good girl."
"Ehehe~, my king praised me~!"
Before anyone noticed, a fluffy-looking woman appeared beside the man. She was happily hugging his left arm as she snuggled to him like a puppy.
"Okay! Look's like everything's already fine. Let's go!"
The man suddenly declared. Before I could even stop them, the three vanished from in front of me in an instant. If not for my healed wounds and the dead harpy nearby, I would have thought that I was hallucinating.
I immediately scanned my surroundings. Finding no signs of the perpetrators who sent these monsters to attack me, I decided to quickly head to the government office to report what happened.
After reaching the government office, I immediately cut through the line and told the receptionist about what happened. They moved quickly and sent a few of their personnel to check onsite. After I explained that my lodging got blown to smithereens, I was allowed to borrow a room from the guest house until they could finish the investigation.
After I entered the guest house, it was already dark outside. The events this one afternoon were so hectic that I lost track of time.
"God tamer, Blue Zeshion..."
After the investigators interrogated me, I was told that the one who saved me should be one of the five God Tamers of the world. They even told me that since God Zeshion helped me, the assailants should all be wiped out by now.
After remembering such things, I looked at Ember and thought.
"We're too weak... For now."

"What?! God Zeshion saved the brat?!"
Viscount Hayes shouted while sweating bullets.
"Damn! Nobody told me that he's connected to a God Tamer!"
He cursed under his breath as he paced back and forth inside his room. After finally reaching a conclusion, he once more faced the guard that was reporting.
"Cancel all assassination plans against that brat and send someone to investigate his background! I want all the information on him that you can get!"
'A nameless brat with the backing of one of the five God Tamers. No wonder he won the preliminaries despite only having a slime on the 1st stage of awakening.'
Viscount Hayes tried to convince himself. He was already of the opinion that Will had the backing of God Zeshion, so rather than nurturing his anger for the defeat of his son, he was convincing himself that his son was just unlucky to have been matched with Will.
He had no way of knowing that Zeshion was only strolling around and just happened to see Will wearing the Slime Suit. And, purely out of curiosity, he just helped him out on a whim.

Today is the first round of the main competition. As I was the winner of the 4th block, I would be fighting in the second match of the day against the winner of the 3rd block.
In the main competition, all participants are required to wait inside their waiting room while other battles are ongoing. In other words, we aren't allowed to peek at other contestants' battles directly.
As I reached the waiting room, the announcer just started speaking.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 158th Newbie Tamer's Tournament!"
Loud roaring cheers from the audience followed her introduction.
"I'm sure you are excited to see which of these extremely talented tamers would bring home the trophy and be crowned as the new champion!"
The cheers became louder as the audience started chanting the name of their favorite tamer.
"But before we start the program, let us hear a few words from our special guest! One of the five God-ranked Tamers, the best of the best, the one and only, God Tamer Blue Zeshion!!!"
