Chapter 3: Rin
"Building C…" Erix turned around and looked at the closed glass gates of the building before he took a deep breath. "So she is in this building."
"Yes, boss," Kanel quickly nodded but then promptly shook his head and said, "But don't go there directly. There are two policemen standing guard with guns outside the faculty room where Teacher Rin is locked up."
"When did this incident happen?" Erix asked as he turned back to Kanel.
"Roughly half an hour ago, right after the police force arrived here. But before they arrived here, Felix and his father were as meek as baby mutts in front of teacher Rin."
"How many people are gathered on the campus right now?"
"Hmmm… roughly eighty people, I think, Including seventeen police officers."
"Do you know about their next move?"
"Yeah, they are forming squads and planning to hunt creatures. There are no zombies here, but there are mutated creatures like big insects and animals behind this campus. After all, we seem to get strong after we kill zombies and those creatures. Felix's father got a sword, and it's so sharp that it can easily cut through simple metal like a knife cutting through butter."
Erix nodded as he also wanted to kill more and get stronger with Rin.
"Most people are still scared because just one scratch from a zombie, and you are dead. So Felix's father is convincing everyone. There are baseball bats and other things in the storage room of the gymnasium building to use as weapons."
"Foolish Felix… Rin could teach them and even make it easier to form the squads, but he had to pull that shit," Erix shook his head with a cold light brimming in his eyes.
Kanel sighed.
"True…that bastard ruined it. Many people didn't like that his father locked teacher Rin, but they didn't oppose him because he has a police force with guns behind him."
Erix tilted his neck as it made a popping sound. 'Nobody stood up for her? After everything she did for them?'
"Boss, is it true that you and teacher Rin…." Kanel said with slight hesitation.
Erix lightly slapped Kanel's cheeks twice and laughed. "Stay here. I am going to save her."
"W-What….no wait, boss. Don't do that. It's dangerous," Kanel quickly said with sweat beads forming on his forehead. "You can save her later… right?"
"Stay here and wait for us."
Erix turned around and walked into the building after pushing open the glass door slowly.

'Can boss Erix save teacher Rin from those two policemen with guns?'
Kanel asked internally, and the answer he got was… negative.
If those policemen didn't have guns, he was willing to bet that Erix could easily beat those policemen and save teacher Rin. But Kanel didn't think Erix could fight against two police officers with guns.
'Damn! I'm sorry, but I must save myself, Mad Devil,' Kanel cursed in his head before he rushed towards the gymnasium to rat out Erix. That was the only way he could save himself from Felix's father.

Erix walked into the corridor after entering and soon saw two policemen standing guard outside the faculty room.
The police officers also noticed Erix and pointed their guns at him. "Stop! Who are you?"
Erix raised his hands, but his dagger was floating behind his back, hidden from both officers' vision.
"Officers, I am a student of this college. I just arrived here a short while ago."
"But what are you doing here? Go back to the gymnasium."
"Officers, I am here to check something on the mayor's orders," Erix slowly said as he finally arrived before the policemen. He was just two meters away from them, but the police officers were also less cautious since he had raised his hands.
"Check something?" one of the policemen asked in doubt.
"Yes. Please shoot me in my chest."
"W-What?"
Hearing such absurd words, the police officers were dumbfounded. However, taking this chance, Erix controlled his dagger as it flew quickly and pierced both policemen's necks.

Rin had long, silky black hair and was beautiful with her peach porcelain skin and gorgeous face. She had a well-developed figure behind her track jacket and track pants.
She was 28 years old, the youngest teacher in the college. But she was a martial arts teacher and an heir from a prestigious Martial Artist family.
Ruthless Rin was her title on campus.
"Rin…" Erix quickly walked towards her and cut off the ropes and cuffs that tied her hands and legs. Then, he slapped her cheeks slightly to wake her as she groggily opened her eyes.
However, she quickly kicked Erix in the nuts in panic and self-defense. After all, she didn't know it was Erix.
"Relax, it's me," Erix said with a wry smile. But he didn't remove his mask. He also didn't feel any pain from her kick. 'Hmm... my stats are way above others due to my current race. I wonder if a bullet can severely hurt me?'
"E-Erix?" Rin's eyes widened as she recognized the voice, and she also realized that he had untied her hands and legs.
"Erix!" She pounced forward and hugged Erix tightly.
"Those damn bastards! We will kill them, especially Felix and his father!"

"But how did he know Rin was locked in the C building?" Mayor Fernos asked as he narrowed his eyes at Kanel.
"H-He threatened me to tell the location," Kanel quickly said while sweating in nervousness. "He is very strong. He can go head to head with teacher Rin in martial arts and sometimes even beat her because of his powerful strength. No one wants to mess with Mad Devil Erix…."
"You two, go and check the situation in C building," Mayor Fernos said to the two policemen standing behind him before turning back to Kanel, "Are you sure he didn't have any gun with him?"
"I'm sure, I'm sure! He didn't have any guns. I didn't see such things on him," Kanel quickly nodded like a pecking bird.
