Chapter 25: Toy, Encounter
"The wish I am going to ask might not get fulfilled… But, I want to ask for it."
Erix took a deep breath after speaking before stating his wish.
"I wish to have three life substitutes."
"What?" The Devil was confused.
"Give me three things that can substitute Life. For example, if I somehow get fatally wounded and die, my injuries and all will be transferred to that one thing, like a doll or something, allowing me to survive. The one to die will be that substitute."
"So, you want three chances at a life… The way you stated made it an easy wish to fulfill," the Devil muttered with a speechless expression.
"Oh?" Erix was surprised, and so were the others.
"There's an item called Life Doll. Hard to get, but if you are fatally wounded and close to death, it will transfer all of your injuries and allow you to live."
"Yeihehehe, I have Life Dolls in this roulette's random item box section, but the chance to get it from a random item box is 3%."
The Devil laughed before waving his hand and taking out three Life Dolls. "But I have a question, why did you ask for three Life Dolls? You could ask for more."
"Uhh… I wanted to ask more, but then I thought that asking more would instead negate the wish. So, I settled for a balanced number, three."
Erix spoke with a wry smile.
"You could ask for five maximum, Yeiheheheho," the Devil laughed. "After all, these dolls cannot revive you but save your life by meeting certain conditions."
Everyone's face turned a bit sour hearing that.
"First condition, these dolls must be attached to your skin."

"Third condition, you must be below level 300. The dolls won't work for beings above level 300."
"And…"
"There's more?" Rin was speechless.
"Yeiehahah, just kidding. That's all the conditions," the Devil grinned. "Now, I must bid farewell. Yeihahaha, it was fun."
The Roulette Devil disappeared along with his roulette with a small burst of smoke.
Erix took the three dolls and put them in his inventory. "The dolls are useless for now," he said with a rueful smile.
"But they are useful after you cross level 50," Isabella said with a smile.
"Not only me but you two as well. That's why I asked for three dolls instead of one."
Erix said and gave Rin and Isabella a doll each. "Here, take it. Just put them in your inventory for now."
Serina, Lena, and others looked at the dolls enviously but didn't think of doing anything stupid.
"I don't need it," Isabella said with a smile. "Remember, I have a skill that can save me. So, you keep this doll."
Isabella returned the doll, and Erix and Rin also found it reasonable as they remembered her skill and took it back.
"Alright, I'll continue opening the treasure chests. Our 30% boost is still active, so we should finish our journey to the military base before it expires."
In the following two Cyan orbs she opened, one had a fruit that increased Magic stat by 10.
But the second Cyan orb was a bit different. When Rin touched it, it glowed with a black flash before a miniature thumb-sized black truck-class jeep toy appeared.
Rin picked up the toy but was surprised after looking at its information.

Rin threw the toy jeep at an empty area, and the moment it hit the ground, the toy turned into a real deal!
"This is good. Since it's an item from the treasure chest, it will surely run."
"Yeah. And the space is enough for all of us."
The bodyguards spoke, becoming delighted to have a working vehicle.
After talking for a bit, the Jeep's ownership was left undecided since it was big enough to house 8 to 10 people or more if squeezed.
On the other hand, Erix ate the fruit to increase his Magic stat by 10.
"Next," Rin said as she moved beside a Cyan-patterned treasure chest(Uncommon) and opened it.
A Cyan orb dropped.
However, before Rin could touch it, everyone heard loud fighting sounds. Rin was also startled and stood up as she turned her head.
That sound was increasing as everyone turned to look at the main road.
"Voices…" Lena uttered in a surprised tone.
Soon, they saw several zombies blasting away at the border of the vine fence as a group of people stood there while killing zombies around them.
A few people at the back looked at the mall as they got curious about the vine border and were surprised to see Erix and others.
Those people were none other than people from the Military base!
