Chapter 11: Chapter 11 Expulsion (Part 2)

Mr. Wood didn't have a chance to enter the principal's office again, and Robert Green didn't see Mr. Wood again. After leaving, an anxious Mr. Wood immediately dialed Finn Lewis's number. Finn was only cooperating with the investigation, so his communication devices were naturally not confiscated.

"I can take the call, right?" Finn said.

"Of course." Sharp James nodded.

"Hello, Mr. Wood." Seeing it was a call from Mr. Wood, Finn answered.

"Finn, what's happening over there?!" As soon as he picked up the call, Mr. Wood anxiously asked.

"What else could it be? I am still here cooperating with the investigation. Mr. Wood, don't worry, I'm okay. Things will eventually come to light." Finn replied seriously.

"Finn, listen to me. If your money comes from a legitimate source, explain it clearly to the officers right now and I'll take you to see the principal! However, if your money comes from illegal sources, surrender yourself now. You cannot ruin your future! I just went to the principal's office, Robert Thomp got there even before me, and it's clear that the principal believes him. There's a chance they might expel you!" Mr. Wood said anxiously.

"What?!" Finn was taken aback. He jumped up from his chair. Expulsion! It felt like a thunderbolt had struck in Finn's mind. However, he quickly calmed down. Although Finn felt he didn't really need the school enrollment anymore because he had Zero behind him, having or not having the enrollment didn't seem to make a significant difference.

But this was of enormous importance to his parents. Finn still remembered when he was admitted to F University, the whole village was astounded. After all, it was the third-ranked comprehensive university in Flam nation! To his parents, it was a lifetime honor!

Moreover, Finn's mother had a heart condition. Finn didn't dare to think what would happen if his mother found out about this!

"Mr. Wood, leave the rest to me, but can I ask you a favor?" Finn quickly asked.

"Go ahead." Mr. Wood replied immediately.

"No matter what, please, don't contact my parents. If they found out I could be expelled, my mother has heart disease, you know what could happen." Finn said gravely.

"Well...I can help you, but you have to promise me one thing." Mr. Wood hesitated for a moment, then nodded. This could potentially be a matter of life and death. Finn's family lived in a village where there weren't any hospitals nearby. If they found out about this, things could turn disastrous.

"Go on."

"You have to assure me that your money comes from a legitimate source."

"I assure you." Finn responded without hesitation, although to be honest, Finn wasn't even sure if what he was doing with Zero was illegal or not.

After hanging up the phone, Sharp James, who was nearby, probably had an idea about what was going on. He said, "Finn, you don't want your family to worry, right? You can choose to tell me everything now. I won't spread it out. It's for your own good, isn't it?"

"You can promise him, your issue can be resolved in about ten hours." Zero's voice suddenly rose again.

Hearing Zero's words, the worry that had been suffocating Finn finally eased. He then said, "Director Samuel, it's not that I don't want to tell you, it's just that some people haven't gotten here yet. Rest assured, in no more than a day's time, I can prove to you that my money is legally obtained."

"Alright then." Sharp James thought for a moment and reluctantly agreed. At this point, Finn's case hadn't even officially begun. All they could do was ask Finn to cooperate with the investigation. In fact, even though Finn had a large unknown source of income, unless someone reported it, they had no right to investigate. Cora's complaint, in the view of Sharp James, didn't meet the standards to open a case.

"Excuse me, do you know of a student named Finn Lewis?" Luca Hall, having arrived on F University's campus, asked a student. As a lawyer who had repeatedly represented the government of Flam Nation, Luca spoke Mandarin very fluently. He nearly qualified as a Flam Nation language speaker. However, Luca knew it was better not to reveal that he spoke the local language when in a foreign country. It often led to unexpected gains.

Thus, Luca has been conversing with students in English. Luckily, for students in Flam Nation, while specialized English might be tough, general everyday conversation was not a problem.

"Finn Lewis?" The student hesitated for a moment before saying: "There are millions of people with that name in Flam Nation, and I bet there are tens to hundreds of people named that at F University alone. Who are you looking for?"

The student's words left Luca at a loss. He might not live in Flam Nation, but he could guess that the name was as common as Mick or John in the North Federation. Trying to find his specific target among several thousand students would be no easy task, especially because he didn't even have the phone number of his prospective client. Luca was not complaining about this for the first time. If he had a phone number, would he need to put in so much effort? Besides, was there anyone who didn't have a phone in this era?

"Sorry, I'm looking for a Finn Lewis who studies computer science, specifically software and programming." Luca quickly said.

"Computer software and programming?" The student looked puzzled for a moment, then examined Luca with a strange expression. After a while, he finally said: "You're not looking for that Finn Lewis, are you? Well, I'm not sure if it's the one you're looking for, but there is a famous Finn Lewis in the computer science department. However, he should not be at school now. His teacher's office is on the third floor of the academic building, the teacher is known as Justin Wood."

"Alright, thank you." Luca responded in surprise and delight, not expecting to get the information so quickly.

Once Luca had headed towards the academic building, one of the two male students said: "Hey, don't tell me you think this foreigner is here to find the wealthy brother."

"Why is it impossible?" The student who had spoken to Luca earlier retorted.

"God, how many 'Finn Lewises' are there at F University? Even if we're talking about studying software programming, there are many, right?"

"Hehe, among the software and programming students named Finn Lewis, I only know one wealthy brother. I don't know about anyone else." The student laughed and said.

"Damn, you're something."

"Hey, I'm not just making things up, I have a feeling this foreigner might really be here to find wealthy brother. Didn't you hear? Wealthy brother was taken away by the police today to assist in an investigation, they said there was a problem with his money sources. This foreigner might be here to solve it for him." The student quickly replied.

"Enough, 'feeling'? You mean 'pregnant feeling'. You've been reading too many novels. But Cora, that kind of woman... I can't believe there are people who still love her." The other male student remarked.

"If it were me, I'd throw money at her too, she's such a fool. I was there that day at the scene, let me tell you..." The student excitedly began describing what happened that day.
