Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 30 - Dancing With Beloved Bodyguard

Slowly but surely, Bryana reached out her hand to open the mask of the man she had chosen. She swallowed her saliva and her heart was pounding even more, in heart always praying that the man was Dean.

Bryana closed her eyes when the mask was almost open. Dean also closed his eyes because he felt uncomfortable, awkward, embarrassed, he felt insecure because Bryana chose him.

When the mask opened, Bryana opened her eyes and saw the man in front of her was closing his eyes with a trembling body, she could even see that his forehead was sweating.

'God answered my prayer. I found him and is he my match?' Bryana said to herself with mixed feelings. She looked up at Dean who was still silent with his eyes closed.

"Hey, open your eyes," Bryana exclaimed with an amused smile seeing how nervous her bodyguard was.

Slowly, Dean opened his eyes and saw a smiling Bryana staring at him. He doesn't know what to say? Silent and stared at his employer's face so pretty and very close to him. The man froze, his lips dry and unable to speak. Even though this was just a game, the man felt like he was finding love.

"Dean," Bryana whispered.

"Why did you choose me?" asked Dean with narrowed eyes.

Bryana felt confused as if her courage had suddenly disappeared and she could not possibly say that she chose Dean because she liked him. The woman tried to hold back because it should be a man who confesses love.

"I ... I don't know, because I choose randomly," Bryana replied nervously.

Dean remained silent staring at Bryana's eyes, who wore blue contact lenses which made her even more beautiful. 'I can see clearly when you rush to grab me before Kareen takes the lead. did you do this on purpose? No, I can't be too confident.'

"I'm going to quit this game, I don't deserve to dance with you," whispered Dean.

"No! Are you going to embarrass me? Look at all ready to dance with the partner they have chosen! but you will instead back down and it will make people look at me as if ignored by the man of my choice."Bryana looked disappointedly at Dean who was too inferior. She turned around and will go home because she was too annoyed at her bodyguard attitude.

Dean, who didn't want to see Bryana getting angry and disappointed, immediately grabbed Bryana's waist until she turned around and faced him. Their chests were close to touching and their faces were very close. Just a few centimeters, the man can almost kiss his master's sexy lips...

"Let's dance with me," said Dean, trying to muster up the courage. "I didn't mean to embarrass you. Maybe I'm the luckiest bodyguard to be able to dance with an employer as beautiful as you."

Bryana was speechless. Her lips felt dry, her legs were limp, her heart was pounding. Dean's gaze was so intense that it seemed as if he was frozen in silence by the charm of the bodyguard that had even embraced his waist.Visit no(v)eLb(i)n.𝘤𝑜𝓂 for the best novel reading experience

"Dance with me, I will not embarrass you," said Dean again. his left hand took Bryana's and kissed the palm. Oh God, that man has lost control and doesn't care who he is.

"Thank you," Bryana replied, looking hard to interpret. She immediately put her hands around Dean's neck, while Dean's hands wrapped around her waist. They too are ready to dance.

When the women have managed to find their partner, the MC immediately started the dance together accompanied by Anne Marie ft James Arthur's song "Rewrite the Stars". They all started dancing with the bride and groom who are in the very middle position.

Bryana and Dean danced with awkward smiles at each other. They are mutually embarrassed by what they are doing.

"Why are you smiling?" Bryana asked while balancing the movements of Dean who had been dancing while staring at her.

"I don't know," replied Dean, staring at Bryana.

"Don't tremble, just pretend you're dancing with the person you love the most," Bryana exclaimed with an amused smile.

Dean smiled faintly as if his heart was saying, 'and you are the person I love the most after all this time my heart is empty.'

"I know you're shaking too," said Dean chuckled a little.

"Of course, because it's my first time dancing after the divorce," Bryana replied.

"Really?"

"Yes. When was the last time you danced?" Bryana asked, raising an eyebrow.

Dean paused for a moment as he continued to move to balance the movements of Bryana's feet who were more adept at dancing. "The last time I danced was when my wife was pregnant. I don't know what month, I forgot," he replied later.

"Your wife must be very beautiful," Bryana muttered.

"Almost like you, but you are taller and have a sharper nose," said Dean.

"Really?"

"Yes, even now our noses are almost touching," whispered Dean. "But I will not kiss you or you will fire me," he continued with a smile.

"I'm not going to fire my beloved bodyguard," said Bryana unconsciously, mesmerized by Dean's smile.

"Beloved?" Dean stared at Bryana as if he couldn't believe what he had just heard.

'Ah, damn I missed it!' cursed Bryana to herself. She immediately turned her face and glanced at the other couple who looked very romantic while she and Dean had just danced with a completely unchanged position since earlier.

"Look, their dancing style is very beautiful especially Soraya and Johnny," Bryana exclaimed as she glanced at her best friend, who was not shy about kissing while dancing with her husband.

"We can be like them, like in the movies," said Dean with a warm smile.

Bryana immediately let go of her arm around Dean's neck, then switched to holding her firm fingers. She turned around and came back in the arms of Dean who embraced her from behind. Ugh, they dance like a real couple and the smiles on their faces never fade.

Kareen who was dancing with the man of her choice glanced at Dean who was dancing with Bryana. She was very sick to see that her dream man had always been with another woman. The woman looked back at her dance partner who had been smiling passionately at her. it looks like she was a very wrong choice

"We just stop. I have to go home now," Kareen said as she let go of her arm around his neck. He immediately turned around and walked towards the exit of the ballroom.

"Wait," exclaimed the man as he chased after Kareen, then took her hand. "Give me your cell phone number. I felt like maybe we could be a real couple."

"Do not dream!" Kareen immediately released the man's grip and left without waiting for the event to end.

Bryana, who was dancing with Dean, glanced at Kareen who came out of the ballroom. She smiled triumphantly because she could get Dean faster than her new secretary.. The woman didn't even feel like ending the dance with her handsome bodyguard and always smiled warmly at him.
