Chapter 27: Unexpected event-

"A demon with divine energy? This is quite rare to see," Ben heard a sudden voice say, sending shivers down his spine. He turned around to find the same girl with black hair standing before him, her body enveloped in blue flames that danced and flickered with an otherworldly glow. Her crimson-red eyes locked onto Ben, and a clever smile curled on her lips.

The devil's presence was overwhelming, and Ben's heart pounded. He tried to steady his nerves, but the sight of the girl, barely clothed and surrounded by flames, made it difficult to focus.

"Ah, shit. I am screwed," Ben thought, his gaze fixed on the girl before him. Her confidence and powerful aura unnerved him. Gathering his courage, Ben managed to reply to her question, albeit with a hint of nervousness. "Trust me, it's rarer to see a naked girl talking in a manly voice."

The devil, inhabiting the girl's body, raised an eyebrow, surprised by Ben's response. "Wait! You can understand me. Are you a native, perhaps? How were you able to get your hands on divine energy?" The devil asked in a curious yet mischievous tone.

Ben's mind raced, and he quickly accessed the system within him for guidance. "Hey, system? Is this guy... or girl, perhaps, a little cracked or something?" Ben asked in his mind, a twisted smile playing on his face.

[Perhaps, host. He thinks you are a resident of hell since you can understand and talk in his language.]

[Thanks to your all-tongue passive ability.]

[As for divine energy, I think he is referring to me. This is probably also the reason why he hasn't attacked you yet.]

"Oh, I see, which means I've got to play it safe," Ben thought, calming his breathing and trying to say something before he was interrupted again by the devil.

Ben's heart skipped a beat at the mention of escaping the barrier. He had no intention of becoming another victim in this strange world. "And that is?" he asked hesitantly, subconsciously stepping back.

"Tsk..." The devil chuckled with a wide smile on her face, her hands moving in a quick motion as she chanted something.

-Blood Soul Contract- The devil chanted, holding Ben's hand, locking finger to finger, while a red runic circle appeared around them.

"System, what the hell is this?" Ben asked, trying to pull his hand back, but his opponent was so strong that he couldn't even move an inch as if his hands were sealed with iron or something.

[ Foreign energy detected... computing]

[ Blood Contract formed! ]

Before Ben could even realize what was happening, the girl before him suddenly fell unconscious, as if she had lost her strength, and fell to the ground.

Her black hair slowly turned back into silver, and the purple flames on her body disappeared into thin air. What was left on her body was a red runic pattern on her chest, similar to the one that appeared during the blood-soul contract.

"You have 3 hours, demon. Before the barrier falls again, try to survive until our next meeting. Hahahahahahahaahaha"

An Oracle sounded in the air, in a similar tone to the one that the girl was speaking now, and the barrier around the gigantic purple slowly faded into nothing.

"What the hell just happened?" Ben muttered, trying to assess the sudden turn of events before a voice sounded in his mind.

[ From my estimation, host: 1. The devil in the girl's body just signed a slave contract with you 2. The barrier on the hell tree is now undone. ]

"Wait, does that mean I am now a Devil slave or something? Can't you find a way to undo it?" Ben asked with a little nervousness in his voice.

[ You misunderstood, host; according to the pact, you aren't the slave, but the girl before you is.]

"Heh?!?"

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN BY THAT!" Ben almost shouted, trying to absorb the information in his mind.

The moment Ben saw the devil, he was ready to fight or pull off some tricks to run. But this? This was something he didn't expect.

"Hey, system? Cant, we undo the contract that happened just now?" After a few minutes of thinking, Ben asked.

[Breaking the contract means the slave will die.]

"What if I leave her here and run away?"

[ If the slave is more than 500 meters away from the host, the slave will die ]

"Cool, you know what? Leave the escape thing; instead, tell me there are how many ways for a slave to die?"

[ There can be two more reasons for a slave's death: 1. Attacking the master 2. Ordered to die by the master ]

"I am totally lost here... Why would the devil even do that?" Ben asked, a little frustrated, looking at the silver-haired girl on the ground, sleeping peacefully.
