Reborn to Be A Beast Master

Chapter 28

C28 – Fourth Rank Pet Beast: Snow Girl

Upon returning home, Xie Yang wasted no time in summoning the Ice Crystal Soul.

The diminutive and adorable Ice Crystal Soul burst into cheers upon its appearance, joyfully floating over to Xie Yang’s side.

Xie Yang produced a middle-rank Ice Element Essence and the Heart of Ice, offering them to the Ice Crystal Soul.

“Eat these, and you’ll be able to evolve,” he instructed.

Pets naturally yearn for evolution.Read lat𝙚st chapters at nov(𝒆)lbin.com Only

At his words, the Ice Crystal Soul’s eyes sparkled, and it eagerly grabbed the Ice Element, stuffing it into its mouth.

Soon, its cheeks were bulging, reminiscent of a tiny squirrel.

Having consumed the Heart of Ice, the Ice Crystal Soul was now enveloped in a brilliant glow.

Amidst the radiance, it grew taller, its form transforming into something increasingly graceful and alluring.

This transformation unfolded over the span of just ten seconds.

Once the glow faded, the pet had been completely transformed.

Gone was the image of a petite young girl, replaced by a stunning maiden clad in white.

Her silky, pale blue hair cascaded down like a waterfall.

Her complexion was as pale as snowflakes, radiating a cool, aloof charm.

Yet, when she looked at Xie Yang, her frosty demeanor vanished as swiftly as snow before a blazing fire, and she beamed a radiant smile.

The young lady stepped forward, giggling as she nestled into Xie Yang’s arms.

Her exquisite face nuzzled his chest tenderly, just as it had before.

Name: Snow Girl

Affinity: Ice

Rank: Fourth, second layer

Growth Point: 0%

Skills: Icicle, Ice Breathing, Extreme Ice Chain, Ice Shield, Frost Nova

Following the Queen’s Route, her next evolutionary form would be the Frost Blue girl. To evolve, she would need to meet the following criteria: 100% Growth Point, 30 superior Ice Element Essences, and 1 Ice Blue Tear.

Her evolution had once again advanced her an entire realm.

“Fourth rank,” Xie Yang exhaled a long breath, managing to quell the surge of joy within him.

Most high school seniors had pets of only the first rank.

Second-rank pets were exceedingly rare, to say nothing of those at even higher levels.

Who else but him could boast a fourth-rank pet before even setting foot in the Beastmaster Academy?

Surely not even the prodigies from the great families could claim such fortune.

Joy swelled in Xie Yang’s heart.

With Snow Girl by his side, he was confident he’d achieve remarkable success in the Nightbay Academy’s entrance examination.

As he pondered, Xie Yang lowered his gaze to the Snow Girl and tenderly stroked her head.

The girl’s face broke into a joyous smile.

Humanoid Pets were exceedingly rare, and one like Snow Girl, indistinguishable from a human, was even more so.

Such pets were highly sought after.

Many Beastmasters yearned to possess one.

Of course, there were those who harbored darker intentions.

Throughout the centuries of pet history, there had been humanoid pets capable of speaking human languages, seamlessly communicating with humans.

How they acquired this ability remained a mystery.

Rumor had it they were innately gifted.

Truly, this was nothing short of a Creator’s miracle.

Alas, Snow Girl had not acquired this skill.

Watching Snow Girl, a thought struck Xie Yang.

“I’ll give you a name. How about Jennie?”

Jennie’s eyes sparkled, and she nodded in delight.

After soothing Jennie, Xie Yang turned his attention back to the panel.

With her evolution, Jennie had unlocked several new skills.

Ice Waterfall: An advanced version of the ice cone skill, it’s an area-of-effect attack. Snow Girl summons a multitude of ice blades above a designated area, cascading down like a waterfall to inflict widespread damage. To unlock this skill, 20% Growth Points and 100 achievement points are required.

Sigh of Snow Girl: An advanced form of Ice Breathing, she conjures a frigid mist imbued with extreme cold, dealing significant ice damage to a fan-shaped area in front of her. Unlocking this skill requires 30% Growth Points and 200 achievement points.

Ice Crystal Mirror: An advanced defensive skill derived from Ice Shield. Snow Girl manipulates the ice element to create a reflective Ice Crystal Mirror, blocking attacks and reflecting some of the damage back. This skill requires 50% Growth Points and 300 achievement points to unlock.

Blizzard: An area-of-effect skill that summons a blizzard within a specified zone, inflicting substantial ice damage and applying a slowing effect to enemies. Unlocking Blizzard requires 80% Growth Points and 500 achievement points.

In total, there were four new skills, three of them advanced.

“I’m going to need a lot of achievement points,” Xie Yang mused, at a loss for words.

To unlock all four skills, he faced the daunting task of amassing 1100 achievement points.

He only had 813 achievement points at his disposal.

“I’m still running low on achievement points,” Xie Yang sighed, attempting to enhance the snow girl’s growth point by 1%.

Predictably, after her second evolution, the cost to increase her growth point would rise even further.

After pondering for a few seconds, Xie Yang spent 200 achievement points to boost the snow girl’s growth point to 20%.

He then used another 100 achievement points to unlock the Ice Waterfall ability.

The pet panel’s data updated once more.

Name: Snow Girl

Type: Ice

Level: Fourth Rank, Fourth Layer

Growth Points: 20%

Skills: Ice Waterfall, Ice Breathing, Extreme Ice Chain, Ice Shield, Frost Nova

Having completed these enhancements, Xie Yang had the snow girl stand by. He then took out the newly purchased Sealed Pearl.

With a deep breath, he began the process of bonding with a new pet.

The procedure was straightforward. All he needed to do was use his Soul Power to integrate the Sealed Pearl into his body.

Shortly thereafter, Xie Yang had formed the bond.

A mysterious connection emerged deep within his mind.

Once he had collected himself, he called forth the Stone Monster.

Composed of greenish-gray rock, the Stone Monster stood less than a meter tall, its form humanoid.

Its face bore only a pair of amber eyes and a dark mouth.

Upon appearing, it bounced around energetically, inspecting the living room with curiosity, this new environment captivating its attention.

Xie Yang let it explore without concern, and with a mere thought, he accessed the Stone Monster’s pet panel.

The Stone Monster’s growth point was at 21%.

Each 1% increase required 5 achievement points.

Xie Yang opted to max it out to 100% in one fell swoop, spending a total of 395 achievement points.

This advancement brought the Stone Monster to the third rank, fourth layer.

“Now for the skill.”

Xie Yang’s gaze fell to the bottom of the panel.

There, a single skill awaited his mastery.

Clay Bomb: Upon impact with a target or the ground, it detonates, dealing explosive damage. To unlock this skill, a 50% growth point and 100 achievement points were needed.

“This skill seems rather intriguing,” Xie Yang mused, promptly choosing to unlock it.

“Now, it’s time for evolution.”

The materials were all ready. Xie Yang gestured for the Stone Monster to come over.

Seemingly sensing something, the Stone Monster bounded over to Xie Yang with great excitement.

After consuming 20 middle-rank Earth Essences and 500 grams of Spirit Soil, the Stone Monster began to glow with the radiance of evolution.

Its body swelled rapidly as if being inflated, quickly reaching the height of an adult human male.

When the glow faded moments later, a formidable Rock Warrior with a fierce visage stood before Xie Yang.
