Chapter 27: Putting on a Show
Lily and Thea started waking up as the sun rose. They were cuddled together with Lily holding Thea. As they both started opening their eyes they lay there for a while, lazing around like they enjoyed doing so much.
"Ready for today?" Lily asked softly to Thea.
"Uh-huh, a bit nervous knowing that you will be watching but also really excited." Thea said full of energy.
"Alright then, I'll go make us a good hearty breakfast so you have enough energy for the day." Lily said as she started getting up. Thea lay in bed for a bit longer before she started smelling the aroma of the food.
Salivating now, she got out of bed, quickly put on a random dress and went to eat breakfast.
"You're going to be wearing that?" Lily said, slightly confused at why Thea was going dressed lightly again.
Thea in response just nodded before sitting at the table, she waited for her mother to bring out the last plate of food before she herself sat down. They both then started eating, sharing a bit of small talk.
After they finished eating, Thea helped her mother clean up and do the dishes before Lily quickly put on some clothes. She came out in some pants and a shirt that accentuated her seductive curves. She then walked over to Thea who had been waiting at the exit of the garden.
"From here on out, I will be following you from a distance, you will just go out like you did the day before and hunt what you think you are capable of." Lily said very seriously.
Thea understood the atmosphere and nodded, she then gave Lily a hug and started jumping up the tree before full on sprinting through the treetops. Worried her mother couldn't keep up she opened her map, both to look for beasts and see if her mother could follow.
On her map she saw a green dot following at a constant distance, keeping up with her own speed. Thea was slightly impressed her mother could keep up, before she remembered her status she hadn't seen since she was in her womb. Now Thea was embarrassed, she had been underestimating her mother while she herself was 250 times slower than her.
Now thinking about it, she wondered how fast her mother could move, while she was theorizing what her mother could do with those insane stats, a red dot came up on the map.
She changed her direction slightly, heading towards the dot. When she came close enough what came into view was a horned rabbit. Wanting to show her mother what Thea was fully capable of doing she jumped down the branch while equipping her suit, as she reached close to the rabbit she pierced it with her tentacle, instantly killing it.
Pleased with the presentation she showed, she stored the horned rabbit in her inventory and moved on, looking for more prey to hunt.
When she was running around the treetops, 4 red dots came in view of the map, 2 west, 1 east and 1 north-east. She noticed the north-east dot heading towards the dot in the east and was curious if it was a horned rabbit heading towards another.
When the dots, that were quite close now came into view, Thea chuckled a bit. It was a bear that was chasing a boar. 'I can't have my prey hunt each other, all those experience points would go to waste.' She thought to herself.
She ran on the branches a few meters above the boar getting chased and jumped down. Thea landed with her feet on the head of the boar causing it to trip and hit its head on the floor. Thea turned around and faced the bear, before she used two tentacles to pierce the boars eyes, like she had done two days ago, instantly killing the still stumbled boar.
With her sudden intervention the bear had stopped chasing and looked at the green figure in front of it. Thea still hadn't removed her suit so here she was, curiously staring at the huge bear. She checked its physical body out as it looked slightly different from the normal bear she had read about. Updat𝒆d fr𝒐m nov𝒆lb(i)n.c(o)m
It was 2 meters tall, and maybe 4 meters long as it was on all paws. That was another thing she noticed, it didn't have the usual 4 paws but it had 6. It was muscular and had thick black fur all over its body. The bear also had two brown eyes and large sharp teeth.
Satisfied with her observations, of the still cautious bear, she put the boar in her inventory and inspected it.
