Chapter 23: Deciding the Future

Lily brought Thea in the bathroom and closed the door. The room was a little steamy, showing that the water in the bath was just the right temperature.

Lily put Thea on the ground near the bath and took a small wooden bucket that was next to her. She filled the bucket with water and poured it carefully over Thea while covering her eyes with her second hand. Thea was enjoying the gentle treatment while Lily washed her hair and arms.

"Can you explain everything carefully, that I should remember while raising her? I think I will keep her here in my cottage until the year she has her enlightenment, then I will return to my territory and introduce her to society." Lily said seriously towards Mary.

"Understood Duchess Lily, what would you like me to tell the rest of the nobility and royalty?" Mary asked understanding the situation.

"Just tell them my baby was born safely, keep out any information about her appearance. I would like her to live a normal life, unless she wants to inherit right away." Lily said smiling, while stroking the sleeping Thea's hair.

"Understood Duchess." Mary answered before giving Lily specific information about how to care for Thea. Lily took some notes and thanked Mary for all she had done thus far. Mary left the room and Lily lay down next to Thea.

Stroking her smooth hair, she fell asleep next to her daughter.

3 hours later Thea woke up, hungry again. Lily had her arm gently wrapped around Thea, embracing her. She enjoyed her current location she was in as she was softly pressed against her mother's big, warm breasts.
