My mother's SON-IN-LAW

Chapter 6: BREAKFAST (II)

Chapter 6: BREAKFAST (II)

"Good morning miss Adams" were the first words Liam uttered as he gave the bouquet of flowers in his hand to Alicia.

"Well, a very good morning to you as well Mr Walker." Alicia said softly as she stared at the man in front of her who kept smiling at her profusely. She could not ascertain what his real emotions were at the moment, yet his eyes were somewhat clear and precise, more like he had no particular emotion in him.

Liam could feel the gaze from Alicia intensify as if she were trying to take a peek at his soul that he took the initiative to lighten up the mood with, "Your mother seems to be quite a charming lady, she has an interesting personality." He could feel that there was a gaze which was fixed on them, and although he was on high alert at the though he tried to keep his cool in order to scan the vicinity and that was when he noticed the figure which was near the front window of the house which kept flipping curtain sideways in order to make sure that their presence was not known.

It was funny for him as he could tell that the impatient figure had to be the woman who had interrupted his call with Alicia the night before, she had called him her son-in-law, and although that amused him a bit, he was still a little taken back by her boldness.

And although she was at first taken back by his words, she quickly gathered her and answered him as she said, "She has that effect on men, it's a wonder my father can keep clam at all times." she answered with a tone of disdain although she was wearing a sweet smile on her face.

Liam noticed the slight frown in her eyes as he tried his best to keep himself from blowing up in laughter. He quite enjoyed the attentiveness she had when it came to cursing him out with simple words.

Without any more words shared, Liam handed the bouquet to Alicia which she smiled heartedly for, she looked to have a weakness to flowers, and it was a good thing that Liam had done his homework in order to fulfill her little warm hobbies.

......…..

(Inside the Adam resident)

Paul had been keeping an eye on his wife who had been peeping on their daughter who was forced to a breakfast date with a man his wife was suddenly welcoming as her son-in-law. The whole matter still baffled him. The fact that both his wife and son wanted his little girl to end up with a man who could be able to confuse her. She had always been an extremely attentive young girl who could tell of peoples characters at a glance, yet his wife wanted her to be kept company by a man she could not read at all.

He kept shaking his head disapprovingly at the woman in front of him who kept shamelessly giggling while spying on her own daughter. But there was nothing he could do about the matter since he had been forced to become an accomplice to the whole setup.

Everything had been going smoothly for him until Jenifer quickened her steps and went to open the front door, he was almost out of breath when she directly shouted at the two individuals who were making their way to the car, she shouted, "Alicia, take your time, we aren't anxious about your return!!"

Paul was speechless.Updat𝒆d fr𝒐m nov𝒆lb(i)n.c(o)m
