Chapter 11: BREAKFAST DATE

When Cyrus took steps towards Liam's table, he kept his eyes glued on Alicia's back as she was on a call which seemed to be quite important considering how much she kept fiddling with a few strands of her hair. She sometimes forgets how distracting her little gestures can be for people around her to concentrate.

Just as he stood a few feet away from the table, Liam also took his eyes off Alicia and looked straight into Cyrus's eyes with a blank face.

Cyrus smiled slightly as he kept his left hand in his pocket and said, "What brings you here Mr Walker? We both know you are obsessed with keeping distance from any women." With those words out of his mouth and his eyes screaming in mockery, he chuckled to himself.

Liam looked at him with no expression nor reaction and got out of his seat, he took a few steps forward. Just when he was close enough to Cyrus he whispered to him the words, "You know what you did before disappearing for the last two years Cyrus, don't push my patience."

Cyrus laughed out loudly from Liam's words as he took a step back and said, "Changing the conversation won't make my questions disappear Liam, Alicia is not for you. Don't even think about claiming something you do not deserve."

"And what makes you believe that she isn't for me Mr Campbell?" asked Liam with a wide smile on his face.

He watched as the light in Cyrus's eyes disappear gradually.

Cyrus looked at him with a darkened expression and turned around towards the counter once more. While walking away Cyrus spoke in a louder tone and said, "Don't challenge her if you can not finish your competition with her. She can be very cold when she wants to be. But that's just the beginning of her anyway, …." He let his words trail off as he stood behind the counter once more and shifted his gaze back to Alicia's figure once more.

Liam looked at Alicia once more with questioning eye. He still can't place his finger on what Alicia really is. She might become a little problem for him if he does not understand the way she operates as soon as possible.

Alicia's call:

"Chris, I hope you have something I can work with by now." Said Alicia the moment she answered the call. Foll𝑜ow current novÊls on nov3lb((in).(com)

Chris took a breath very heavily and answered Alicia with the words, "Alicia Liam is a nice guy, I am just not sure why he agreed to a date with you. Brace yourself Ally."

Alicia did not like the way Chris spoke about Liam, the man seemed to be a little to mysterious for her own liking. And mysterious never ends well with her.

She kept fiddling with her hair constantly trying to figure out what she should do about Liam and nothing comes to mind.

Chris did not say much after he spoke of Liam to Alicia, he believed that she would be able to figure him out on her own. Although he still had a worried expression on his face.
