My Divine Pet System

Chapter 11

C11 – Evolution Route

“Wow… Grandpa Dean is incredibly impressive!”

Despite having witnessed it numerous times, they never failed to marvel at the sight.

Such was the prowess of a Battle Spirit Fighter. The greyhound, known as Wind Hound, possessed exceptional speed and a keen sense of smell.

Thanks to Wind Hound’s acute olfactory abilities and swiftness, he had managed to apprehend a fair share of villains attempting to wreak havoc in the orphanage, earning him the status of a star battle spirit.

No sooner had the hound been let loose than he began drooling and bolted towards Qin Hongyu.

“Little… Little Grey, take it easy… settle down!” Qin Hongyu, terrified, shrank back into a corner, his face etched with panic.

Without warning, Little Grey leaped onto Qin Hongyu, enthusiastically licking his face with abandon.

But in that instant, Qin Hongyu’s mind was flooded with a stream of data:

[Battle Spirit Name]: Wind Hound

[Battle Spirit Master]: Zhou Kangmin

[Battle Spirit Level]: Level Three, Fourth Rank

[Battle Spirit Stage]: Growth Stage

[Battle Spirit Skills]: Thousand-Mile Tracking, Biting, Wind Slash

2. Wind Wolf: Senior Class Wind Element Demonic Beast Core, one, a hundred-year Wind Whispering Flower, ten stalks of ten-year Wind Cage Grass (Usage steps …)

“…”

Qin Hongyu was visibly taken aback. Even as Little Grey continued his relentless licking, Qin Hongyu was too astonished to resist.Updat𝒆d fr𝒐m nov𝒆lb(i)n.c(o)m

It dawned on him that this was undoubtedly a gift from the Heavenly King’s Divine Pet System, granting him the ability to effortlessly discern the attributes of battle spirits.

Crucially, he could now clearly envision every evolutionary path and even the exact methods required for evolution!

Up until now, the evolutionary paths of battle spirits were largely shrouded in mystery.

People had to rely on the trial-and-error experiences of those before them to understand the evolution of battle spirits and to gauge which paths held the most potential.

Yet here was Qin Hongyu, suddenly privy to all the evolutionary routes and methods—a truly game-changing ability!

“Is this what the Divine Pet Evolution System can do? It’s truly astonishing!” Qin Hongyu’s lips curled up in a pleased smile as he reveled in his newfound ability.

“Hongyu, what’s gotten into you today? Xiao Hui licked you, and you didn’t even flinch. That’s not like you at all! Aren’t you supposed to be wrestling with Xiao Hui by now?” Bo Miaojiao noticed Qin Hongyu’s unusual behavior and quickly pulled Xiao Hui aside, rescuing Feng Yixiu.

Scrambling to his feet, Qin Hongyu hastily grabbed some tissues to dab away the drool on his face, chuckling, “I thought it might be tough to see Xiao Hui again in the future, so I figured why not let him have his fill of licks?”

“Xiao Hui, come here. From now on, if I’m not here, you’ll be in charge of protecting the orphanage kids. Don’t let me down, okay?” Qin Hongyu beckoned to Xiao Hui with a warm smile.

“Wuwu…” Xiao Hui whined, seemingly grasping Qin Hongyu’s words, his tail wagging as he approached.

“My Fierce Wind Dog really seems to hate the thought of losing you!” Mr. Qian remarked solemnly.

“How could he not? We’ve spent three years together,” Qin Hongyu replied, affectionately stroking Wei De’s back. He then casually inquired, “Grandpa Qian, have you ever considered evolving your Windy Hound into a Moon Chasing Hound?”

“A Moon Chasing Hound? What’s that? Can’t this wind dog only evolve into a Wind Wolf or a Greedy Wolf?” Mr. Qian responded, clearly confused.

“Huh?” Qin Hongyu paused, then scratched his head and clarified, “Maybe I got it wrong. Didn’t you want to evolve Xiao Hui into a Wind Wolf?”

“Ah… I’m an old man, practically with one foot in the grave. I don’t have the luxury of worrying about evolving this little guy into a mature stage Battle Spirit Fighter!” Mr. Qian sighed in resignation, then added, “Besides, evolving into a Wei De Wolf isn’t just about the Battle Spirit Fighter’s rank; it requires rare and costly evolution materials. That’s beyond what this old man can afford!”

“Huh?” Qin Hongyu was momentarily taken aback before scratching the back of his head and asking again, “Could I have remembered it wrong? Haven’t you ever considered evolving Xiao Hui Hui into a Swift Wind Wolf?”

“Ah… I’m just an old man, with the dust nearly up to my neck. I haven’t had the heart to push this little guy into becoming a mature battle spirit,” sighed Mr. Qian, the dean, with a sense of resignation. He continued, “Besides, evolving into a Swift Wind Wolf not only requires a Battle Spirit Fighter of high caliber but also extremely rare evolutionary materials. An old man like me simply can’t afford that!”
