Chapter 439: Sharing A Bath With The Son Of Heaven

When Chen Mo finally broke free of the suffering from harmonizing with the White Tiger's soul, it was like a thousand years had passed. With great difficulty, he opened his eyelids that were as heavy as lead, and what he saw was a delicate and comfortable room.

He lay atop a soft bed. The surrounding furniture was crafted from white rampart, delicate and luxurious.

The entire inside of the room was filled with an ethereal scent. If not for the fact he could distinctly feel his heartbeat, Chen Mo would have thought he had gone to heaven.

Several maids knelt inside the room. They wore white jackets and skirts, appearing very respectful.

Chen Mo wrinkled his brow. His head still hurt a bit, his entire body boiled, and he was covered in sweat. Every pore in his body seemed to be aflame.

"What is this place?"

Chen Mo asked them.

"This the Celestial Foodstuff¹ First Pavilion." The mid lowered her head.

"Celestial Foodstuff First Pavilion?" Chen Mo thought that, in the end, Qilin Martial Emperor Liu Hongyu wanted to rear him. He could not have brought here by her, right. Thinking of this, Chen Mo's heart tightened, and his eyes showed murderous intent.

"Hmph, no need to be nervous. This place is the Star Mansion Palace. You are safe here."

A slightly childlike girl's voice entered the pavilion. A young lady dressed like a bat walked in. Her build was delicate, her eyes clear and bright, very enchanting.

The maids rose and shuffled out of the room.

This name was a bit familiar. Thinking carefully, Chen Mo recalled that he was a famous general who helped found the Eastern Han dynasty, a subordinate of Liu Xiu and twentieth among the Cloud Terrace's Twenty-eight Generals.

"Pervert." Jing Dan grit her teeth and covered her chest. Her collar extended downwards, exposing a bit of cleavage. Although her chest was not as majestic and overwhelming as her Elder Sister, she was not very much like a little girl.² 

Seeing Chen Mo stare at her, Jing Dan cursed.

Jing Dan pointed in the direction of the Cloud Pool and left.

Walking past a corridor, Jing Dan did not go to inform Liu Houxiu like she said she would at all. Rather, she seized the opportunity while Chen Mo rose to go to the Cloud Pool herself first.

"You may go for now." Liu Houxiu softly said.

"As you command."

Jia Fu bowed and left the Cloud Pool.

Chen Mo left the room and found that the palace was extremely quiet. The entire palace was filled with the aura of the ethereal nine heavens, but he did not sense anything out of place.

The Cloud Pool was near the Celestial Foodstuff First Pavilion. It was visible past a corridor.

The Star Mansion Palace's decor was very elegant and exquisite, unlike his impression of palaces being glazed tiles and glimmering gems. The interior of the palace had many natural landscapes. Walking among them was relaxing.

A cloud of steam passed gracefully through the forest. Just making skin contact with this steam was very soothing. Apparently, the steam contained elements beneficial to Star Mansions. Chen Mo sensed that the White Tiger's soul was ravenously absorbing this steam.

The two people made eye contact. The woman did not expect a man would enter the Cloud Pool, and her bright eyes were also blank.

The feeling that the girl gave Chen Mo was extremely tranquil. To be able to chat calmly with a man she did not know whilst bathing, he could not help but admit that her disposition had one him over.

"Your Highness Son Of Heaven." Chen Mo respectfully said.

"The White Tiger is a Holy Beast Of Heaven. That it fell into the Martial Emperor's hands and wreaked havoc upon the people, Xiu could not bear it. But constrained by my position, I was unable to intervene. This time, it is all thanks to Young Lord Chen Mo for helping the White Tiger break free." Liu Xiu softly said.

Chen Mo understood. Star Mansion Palace, Son Of Heaven, no wonder she had such thoughts.
