Chapter 12: Visit to the Hospital
When she got to the hospital, she confirmed that it was indeed because she happened to be his latest call, so that the hospital called her first.
To think that this call was to remind her to phone him if she would ever get into trouble…
The very thought of it amused her quite a bit.
She entered after receiving a response from the other side of the door. "Are you alright, professor?"
Seeing her there, the handsome man covered his face with an arm in embarrassment, but her beautiful voice somewhat calmed his nerves enough so he could answer her question.
"I'm sorry for the trouble." He said, "I didn't think they'd call anyone, especially you."
Going in, she brought him a basket of fruits with the utensils needed to prepare them.
"No problem, professor. It's the least I could do with all the guidance you've provided us."
She said and sat down on the chair, preparing the fruit. She started with slicing the oranges, before proceeding to peeling the apples.
He was embarrassed by how she busied herself. However, he couldn't embarrass her either by stopping her midway.
"Thank you." He just said, eyes on her warmer than usual.
She smiled at him and just continued with her task.
Before entering the room she already had an idea of what happened.
Apparently, when he was doing his shopping somewhere in the market, he had an unfortunate encounter with an ex-girlfriend.
She was shopping with her current boyfriend, who also happened to be a bodybuilder. It started out polite and civil, with the teacher answering their questions with decency.
Unfortunately, the girl always wanted to flirt with him whenever the boyfriend was looking away.
Sometimes, she bumped into him on purpose, as if there was no space anywhere else. Sometimes, she even tried to hold his hand.
To no avail, of course.
In his attempt to avoid her hold, she lost her balance. She cried pitifully, making it look like he pushed her.
The girl went full-on Green Tea, making the boyfriend think that the professor had been seducing her, and that he pushed her when she refused.
It was quite dramatic and the storytelling was very colorful.
She got all this from gossipy nurses (who heard from the people who brought the 'unconscious' professor). They had their guards down towards sweet nerdy girls like her.
What she didn't know yet was why he fainted, though, and the doctors said it was probably a stress response.
In reality, to avoid the conflict, he pretended to faint, which was indeed a bit embarrassing for a man.
But he was a teacher, after all, no good would come out of fighting back, especially against a bodybuilder.

He had no choice but to keep acting. Until they used her phone to call a number, and he happened to hear her voice from where he laid.
To be honest, when he heard she was coming, he felt extremely complicated. He was embarrassed, sure, but part of him was looking forward to it.
They entered a companionable silence eating the fruit and doing small talk until the doctor let him go.
But things got a little awkward when they realized that he, the 27-year-old man, couldn't check himself out due to the nature of his case.
Fortunately, it just so happened that she has just turned 18 today, so she was allowed to do it.
The nurse handed her back her ID afterward, smiling. "Happy birthday."
She smiled in thanks and turned her head to see a very guilty Cauis.
"I'm sorry." He said. "I must've ruined your birthday…"
"It's fine." She shrugged. "It's not like I ever celebrated."
This made the professor pause, looking at her deeply. "It's the same with me." He uttered without thinking.
Her feet paused and she looked at him. Now that she thought about it... he was probably alone as well, like she was.
They stared at each other and smiled, and Cauis couldn't help but feel a little warm.
"Shall we celebrate then? I happen to be a good cook." He said, wanting to repay the favor.
He didn't even think it was inappropriate until they were there, simply wanting to spend this day with her.
Khalifa nodded and they bought the ingredients from the grocery. There were thankfully no wild-exes in the vicinity to bother them.
They bought the necessary meat and vegetables, as well as some fruits and condiments.
"This one is good." Khalifa said, choosing the best vegetables in the batch. He smiled and nodded, similar scenarios playing out as they walked isle to isle.
They were so in-sync that Caius had the illusion that they were a married couple.
Cauis immediately dismissed the thought and unconsciously walked a little faster with the cart.
As they walked across the isles, she saw Cauis hover over the alcohol area, pondering.
"I'm an adult now, you know."
"Yes, I know. But... I didn't drink anymore for a while. I got entangled with that woman because of this."
He then realized he spoke too much and blushed. In Khalifa's eyes, it was cute.
The dignified professor of hers had shown her so many moments of vulnerability, showing her the combination of
handsomeness and cuteness.
She liked it very much.
Not to mention, she was a little dissatisfied being prematurely cut off from her earlier session with Jacob. She was a little… horny.
Her eyes couldn't help but focus on this man again, looking at his handsome face, framed nicely by his glasses, to his well-built shape, wide-shoulders and strong arms, showing off his fit lifestyle.
Ah... she really wanted to do this man.
