Chapter 9: Hot Headed

Kaden was now leaning slightly forward in what many would call the "try hard mode" stance known to many gamers around the world. This of course was being monitored by Ashly that for some reason had no interest in the awakening itself and was only focused on watching Kaden's every slight change of emotion.

'Oh goodness~ He's so cute when he's excited like this, but I really want to see him crying his eyes out now oh no~' She thought to herself causing her breath to become slightly ragged surprising even herself.

'When did I ever feel this way about anyone? Why do I even feel this way and why him for that matter? Oh, who cares I just want to see him in distress~' She thought further in the depths of her mind.

If anyone read her mind at this moment, they may think she might have some sort of twisted love interest in Kaden and just had some weird way of expressing it, but they were wrong. To put it lightly imagine you go to a new restaurant for the first time and you taste a dish that you have never tried before. After tasting this dish it leaves you speechless and is the most delectable thing you have ever tasted. That's the exact problem, you only tasted it. Since Kaden doesn't normally express his true feelings to anyone except today because it's a moment in his life he has been waiting for since he was young, he can be summed up as a one of those fancy little plates that can be ordered with barely anything on it. He gives his emotions in small portions and isn't a big juicy steak like some overly emotional people which has caused Ashly's interest and has left her in an immense desire or craving for more after tasting such a tasty emotion.

Either way she was in a state of craving and love was nowhere near involved.

The man that was currently filling all of Ashly's thoughts was watching the podium with a powerful gaze trying not to miss a single detail or second of each and every persons awakening. Many people had gone up at this point, some shared excitedly what class they got while others kept it a secret just smiling at the mere fact they got to come here.

Time passed with every student in the building getting a chance to walk up to the stone and as the person called got closer and closer to Kaden's row his heartbeat became louder and louder inside his mind. So loud in fact he could no longer hear the cheers of the crowd or even the slight heavy breathing that was occurring beside him.

Kaden was raging with excitement on the inside as the last person in the row in front of him got up to go to the podium. At first Kaden ignored the details around the kid as he did with everyone else as he was too stuck inside his own mind to try and even care but his thoughts were interrupted with words that made him look the kid over once more and memorize every last detail of him.

"Look all of you! Bask in my greatness as I have awakened the heavenly knight class a class with a potential of A+." These few words made Kaden look at the person and it was a blonde boy with a taller build and that was all Kaden could discern from the current distance, but he made a mental note to check everything about him when he sat back down.

Kaden was not the only one in the room with these thoughts as some of the other people similar to Kaden thinking about their own future made a mental note of this kid since his class had the highest potential that had been shown so far.

The kid realized the impact his class had as well as he arrogantly showed his class screen to everyone that could see it proving that he did indeed have the class. After this he walked back down the podium and took a seemingly more slowed walk down the isle as he basked in the gazes of others. Whether those gazes were jealous, interested, scared, and some even with slight blushes or hearts in their eyes. It didn't matter as he enjoyed every second of it which was proved by the large grin on his face as he sat back down in the row in front of Kaden.

"So much for being 'Heavenly' or even pleasant for that matter." Ken said over dramatically gaining some giggles from both Emma and Ashly. Making Kaden smile as well. This however didn't go unnoticed by the blonde guy in front of them.

Turning around immediately with an angered face he questioned Ken, "What did you just say?"

Ken's expression didn't change for a moment immediately answering the mans question, "I said so much for being 'Heavenly' your personality sure doesn't match your class." Ken said matter of factly causing both girls to giggle more at the mans expense.

Seeing both the beautiful girls laugh at him due to Ken his face flared up more in anger, "Oh really? At least my class has the potential of being A+ unlike a random like you who will probably get a D+ potential if I'm being generous."

This made Ken a little annoyed as he immediately fired back at the man with aggression, "D+ huh? As if! I will get an ever higher graded class than you! Just watch me!" Ken said with pure confidence.

This caused another laugh but from the man this time, "Whatever you say loser! Put your money where your mouth is and walk up there. We will see who truly has more potential and it will of course be me or my name isn't James Ruse!" He said pointing his finger at Ken.

'What kind of cultivation novel line was that?' Kaden and the other three collectively thought, but right as they were about to question his choice of words the man on the podium called a student once more.
