Chapter 24: Sky

"This is incredible," Ken said to Kaden's right as he and everyone else on the field looked at the just made lush green forest.

"Agreed." Said Emma who for once was also surprised and impressed by what was happening.

Kaden had been enjoying the sight as well until a particular face caught his eye among the group of newcomers that were currently with Mr. Wright.

'Sky? There's no way?' Kaden thought to himself as his heart slightly quickened. He began making his way towards the group and was the first to come out of their awe of the forest.

'There should be no way she's here? Am I mistaken?' Kaden thought to himself with his doubts beginning to pile within his mind that the person ahead was not who he thought it was.

However, his doubts were soon squashed as the person he was looking at took notice of him walking towards them as well. They began rushing through the crowd and soon escaped before running to Kaden at speeds he didn't expect at all. Foll𝑜ow current novÊls on nov3lb((in).(com)

'Fast.' This was the last thought Kaden had before he was hit with a flurry of black and orange making him fall over with them on top of him. This made all of the surrounding groups look at them in confusion.

"It's you! It's you! It's really you!" A girl's voice said beside Kaden's ear as she buried her face inside his chest. He also heard a few sniffing sounds near his chest, but he thought that might have been his imagination.

"Sky is that really you?!" Kaden said with a huge grin on his face.

The girl then took her face off his chest to look him straight in the eyes. Sky was a beautiful girl with almost hip-length dark black hair and rosy, red lips. Her eyes were beautiful with one being red and the other blue otherwise known as heterochromia. She also sported a curvaceous hourglass figure that had all the right things in the right place which wasn't visible from his current position.

"Yes, it's really me. This almost feels like a dream!" She said before shoving her face back in his chest making him chuckle.

"Who's this girl?" A voice invaded the two's moment and Kaden looked up to see Ashly, Emma, and Ken looking down at him with a question from Emma who eyed her curiously.

Kaden then took Sky off of him much to her dismay and stood up before addressing the three, "This is Sky she is someone I have known for a few years now, but we have never had the chance to meet in person like this." Kaden said without the smile leaving his face.

"Would that explain the jumpsuit?" Emma said.

Kaden then paused for a moment to look at Sky's attire and Emma was correct. Sky was fitted with an inmate's jumpsuit and when Kaden looked behind her at the rest of the group, she came from it seemed the same story as all of them were donning the infamous orange suit. Though that wasn't the only thing on them as each of the group had a metal collar around their neck that looked quite menacing.

"Ye-" Kaden was about to continue but was interrupted by Sky.

"Who's this bitch?" Sky said with clear hostility as she wrapped her arms around Kaden's.

Emma gritted her teeth in anger as she heard Sky's comment and looked at her hooking her arms with Kaden's, "I'm Emma the heir of the Johnson family and who are you!" She said aggressively.

Sky took less than 3 seconds to answer, "I'm Kaden's future wife and current lover. Now shoo." Sky said motioning with her hand to go away.

Kaden couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with this but inwardly not against how forward she was being. However, Emma did not take too kindly to the way she was speaking, "Who are you to spea-" Right as she was about to continue another person entered the conversation.

"It seems you guys know each other?" Mr. Wright said walking towards them and with the rest of the inmate dressed group behind him.

"Yes! He has visited me almost since I first entered the system!" Sky said nodding her head repeatedly.

At this point, Kaden felt even more uncomfortable as he realized both groups were staring at him and Sky but he didn't undo his arm since he felt it would not only be douchey, but he also didn't mind it particularly since it was a special moment for him too.

Kaden has known Sky for a long time now since he always used to visit the jail for his family member that had the ace card in his wallet. It happened by chance when the guards were grabbing his family member and it seemed that Sky's people never showed as she was sitting by herself in one of those, one on one phone booths staring at no one across from her.

She saw that Kaden also didn't have anyone to talk to yet, so she swapped seats when the guards weren't looking, and they began getting to know each other. After this encounter Kaden visited both his family and her from now on and their relationship continued to blossom. Kaden considered her a close friend and didn't think of anything further yet since she had a life sentence for the murder of both her abusive parents. This is why Kaden was so surprised to see her, especially here.

"I see well that's good because you will be joining their team." Mr. Wright said astonishing some of the people here and making Sky very happy.

"It was meant to be!" She shouted latching on to Kaden even more making him give a defeated smile.

"Wait aren't these people convicted inmates!" One shouted their concerns.

"That's correct. This was something I was going to explain for all of you before these two had their moment. Due to a decision being made by the school these inmates will be given a second chance by taking this school's exam alongside you with restrictions of course." Mr. Wright said calmly.
