Chapter 18: Regrets

After looking at his new tattoo for a moment Kaden stood up smiling and grabbed his wallet from his nightstand. Opening the folds of the wallet there was a plastic sleeve that held a playing card that was coincidentally the ace of spades.

'I miss you.' Kaden thought to himself with a reminiscent smile. The card and the wallet that Kaden currently used and owned was from a family member that passed away long ago but the memories Kaden had with them was eternal. He felt that the least he could do was name his future army and make his branding in their name as a sign of respect.

Getting himself out of his feelings Kaden took a moment to check his class screen once more and was surprised to a see a difference in his already opened ability section.

'So I count as a member?' Kaden thought to himself not thinking that the leader would count but he didn't mind as he remembered that the more members he has the higher his rank would be so he quickly went back to his main screen where he saw something that made his smile widen.

[Potential: SSS+]

[Current Rank: F]

Ranking up on the same day Kaden got his class was something amazing. People were praised across the world for ranking up for a week to a month after getting a class much less a single day. However Kaden credited this to the way his class worked it was a SSS+ potential class after all but progress is progress no matter how easy it is given.

Already happy about his gains and his class Kaden headed to the shower to clean off all the sweat he accumulated during his painful new tattoo. Once he was inside the shower he began thinking of ideas for the future and what will happen tomorrow.

Emma was currently arriving at her house in a black limo that was driven by one of the many butlers assigned to her by her family. The butler was an A+ ranked class user who had seen many battles not only with the beasts but other class users as well. This made him a great protector and chauffer for Emma as if even the slightest scratch were to land on her his life would be in danger but he didn't have to worry about this as he was confident in his abilities and he was even more afraid of the girl he protected than anyone else which was even furthered by her newly awakened class that fit her very well.

The girl in question was currently staring out of the window into nothingness thinking over her day and reminiscing over past memories that included one particular boy.

"Hey @#$&% how about we go see a movie this weekend! It will be loads of fun you could even call it a date!" Emma said smugly to a boy in front of her who always chased after her like a puppy. She found it quite adorable.

"Really?! Absolutely I will go! Wait I'm not prepared enough?! I need to leave so I'm ready, see you tomorrow!" The boy replied back with star in his eyes and a slight blush but little did he know that this would not be a happy day and push the two apart forever after. Emma shook her head slightly getting the memory out of her mind as it was a common thing she thought about each day and her feelings on that day got worse and worse as time passed.

'If only I didn't mess up.' She thought to herself staring outside the window but her butler suddenly stopped the car causing her to jerk in her seat slightly annoying her.

"What the hell! Why are you slamming the breaks you idiot!" Emma screamed in anger completely different from her personality at the school.

The butler immediately turned back to her in fear and bowed his head over and over, "I'm very sorry miss but it seems like someone is blocking the entrance to the gate and is currently being handled by the guards." He said quickly holding his head down refusing to even look up at her.

Hearing this Emma looked outside the front wind shield looking to see who could possibly be making her butler slam his breaks and be wasting her time. When she looked out she saw someone familiar and similar to her age. In fact it was someone she saw while leaving the school, it was Ken.

Seeing that Ken was in front of her gate she then realized that the guards had their hands wrapped around his arms and was escorting him off the premises. Emma quickly got out of the car which surprised her butler but he didn't want to question anything she was doing right now as he had already done something to piss her off her just prayed for that young mans life.

Once she got close enough to Ken and the guards she spoke straight towards Ken, "Oh what brings you here Ken?!" She said in a happy and peppy voice causing her guards and Ken to look at her.

"Emma! Thank goodness you're here! I was just telling these guys that I know you and wanted to ask you a few questions." He said with a new found hope in his eyes.

"Miss Emma do you know this man?" One of the guards asked not at all confused by her behavior but confused on how they knew each other.

"Yes I know him you may put him down he will be joining me." She said with a smile making the guards immediate drop Ken and walk back to their posts.

"Follow me!" Emma said beckoning him towards her limo.
