Chapter 10: Class Part 1

Hearing his name being called Ken lost his train of thought as he was about to retaliate at James but quickly collected himself and put on a confident face, "Well it seems it's time to show you who truly has the better potential among the two of us." He said standing up with full confidence.

Ken began walking down the isle with everyone's eyes looking straight at him with anticipation and hopefulness to see him beat the man that was so full of himself. The words that James said had not gone unheard by the people around them so even though most people were still looking at James in awe and with lustful eyes the ones surrounding their group were silently rooting for Ken.

Ken seemed to maybe have a arrogant side himself as he enjoyed the gazes of those cheering for him and silently cursed at those who were looking at him as if he would amount to nothing even scratching his nose with his middle finger which didn't go unnoticed by the teachers, but they could care less about some children fighting.

Once Ken finally got to the podium it seemed he put some major emphasis on the steps he was taking up the podium like some sort of future king being given his crown in front of his people, but Kaden realized the error in this method, "He's going to mess up at some point." Kaden said almost silently but both Emma and Ashly could hear it making them look closely at Ken's figure.

Kaden predicted correctly as the final step Ken took, he tried to put some extra swagger into it but it failed miserably as his foot landed on the top step in a weird way making him fall on the floor. After he fell the entire audience of students fell into laughter as they had also realized how much he was trying to put in each step trying to ooze confidence and swagger. "Hahahahahaha! Look at him! What a loser!" James especially laughed as he watched Ken fall but behind him Kaden and Ashly both had no reaction while Emma had a slight smile trying to overtake her face.

After falling Ken got up quickly with an obviously red face and walked over to Mr. Wright whom was waiting for him with a slight smile on his face as well motioning with his hand towards the stone as he had done with every other student in the room.

Ken didn't try and make a huge deal out of it now as he immediately put his hand on the stone and began waiting for his class. One blinding flash later a huge smile was plastered on Ken's face as you could tell the excitement he had from the class he was given. He was so excited that he showed the entire audience his class screen which read.

[Name: Ken Armada]

[Class: Barbaric Shield Bearer]

[Potential: A]

[Current Rank: F-]

The class that he was given was one of less than 10 rank A classes that had been given so far during the awakening surprising many and making many people look at him with different gazes. Similar to James some looked at him with high hopes to either work with him or see his potential grow like teachers or others that looked at him with scorn since they didn't get a class like his or see him as competition.

The bio for the class had been left hidden by Ken showing that he was still in a levelheaded state of mind as he headed back down the isle but he forgot one key component in his happiness, "Looks like I truly have the most potential between us!" An arrogant voice said to Ken as he got closer to Kaden's isle.

All eyes were on James as he continued to make fun of Ken laughing hysterically at the now embarrassed Ken. Despite James taunting him Ken didn't say anything back and just sat down obviously embarrassed at the loss but still inwardly happy at his class.

One thing is for certain though and that's that Ken got an amazing class. Kaden knew that despite it being lower than James class, an A rank class was not something to scoff at and was a class rank that was fitted to lots of people high in society. In fact, his potential was even higher than some of the teachers that would be teaching them soon but all Ken had in his mind at the moment was James constant teasing that was silenced as the awakening continued.

"Emma Johnson." Mr. Wright said calling Emma to the stage.

She immediately got up with her academy award winning smile and elegantly began walking down the isle looking at almost every person she passed and giving them a smile almost akin to a beauty pageant. Males and females alike looked at her with pure hearts in their eyes and felt a warmness in their heart as they looked at someone who they thought was like a butterfly in a lush green field. Little did they know how wrong they were. Matter of face she might be worse than Ashly.

Once the "butterfly" made her way to the stage like with the others Mr. Wright motioned with his hands to touch the stone but there was a slight difference in attitude than compared with the other. Mr. Wright when he motioned for her to touch the stone did a slight bow in apparent respect for Emma which caused gasps to sound inside the auditorium with many questions raised.

"Is this the power of the Johnson family?" Someone said.

"Their power extends all the way to the academy? Wow!" Another said.

"Oh my goodness she's so pretty!!" A guy screeched loudly which silenced everyone for a moment in confusion.

Not even paying attention to the ruckus Emma just caused she walked forward to the stone immediately putting her hand on it making the bright blue light shine before it went down leaving everyone with intense faces filled with anticipation.
