Extra's Hatred System

Chapter 6: Accepted

Chapter 6: Accepted

As soon as I woke up, I was met with a white ceiling, and a beautiful green-haired elf leaning towards me, a worried expression painted on her face.

"What... where am I?"

"Oh, you're finally awake!" Mina exclaimed, "I was getting worried, you've been unconscious for a few days."

"A few... days?"

I sat on the bed and rubbed my forehead.

"Mhm, a lot of the people who failed the exam were teleported outside the arena but since you fainted, a doctor brought you here, and your condition was so bad they kept you here all this time."

"I'm sorry for worrying you" I said while smiling.

"I-It's not like i'm worried or anything! You were the first person who was nice to me so it would be bad if you died or something!" she was acting cute again, I don't know why I was getting close to this tsundere but it's better then being alone I guess.

Then I remembered the reason of my short coma and immediately sulked.

[Anger meter: 0/100]

The anger meter was back at zero, which means I had used all my power in this fight with Daemon and still failed... I was so close though...

"You lied to me though" Mina pouted.

"Huh? Why?" I looked at her with a puzzled face.

"You told me you had no powers and yet what you did was awesome!" Visit no(v)eLb(i)n.𝘤𝑜𝓂 for the best novel reading experience

I guess that is true...

"But it still wasn't enough for me to pass I guess..." I was disappointed, but I guess it doesn't matter, I know what is gonna happen in the novel so I can take some investments and become rich...

"What are you talking about?" Mina genuinely looked confused, "you put up a fight with Daemon and you expect the school to fail you?"

"Huh? What?"

"What I meant is that you passed the exam silly~" she giggled.

"WHAT?!"

***

"Are you sure you're okay walking around?"

"Yes, don't worry."

I was still confused as to why the teachers and chairman allowed me to be enrolled in but I guess that's a royal "fuck you" to the blonde family so i'll gladly take it.

Mina and I were currently walking through the corridors of the academy, and just as it was in the novel, it was extremely big.

There were a lot of different buildings and even a huge garden inside the campus.

We were currently heading to the dorms, every student had a dorm room where he would live with another paired person for the remainder of the first year.

This school never fails to surprise me, the technology was even more advanced then on earth, but I guess it's normal, the author did describe it as a world where both magic and technology met each other.

"You missed the first three days of class but it's okay they didn't talk about much~"

We finally arrived at my room and Mina opened it with a keycard.

WAIT WHAT?

"Why do you have access to my room?" I asked, already knowing the answer but hoping it's not true.

"I told the teachers i'm your friend so they paired me with you" she puffed out her chest and had a proud look on her face.

[Anger meter: -1/100]

HEY, THAT DOESN'T MAKE ME HAPPY!

***

I finished putting my stuff away as the luggage was already in the room and then looked around.

The place was fairly big and had two comfortable looking beds for the two of us to sleep on, there were also two desks, a bathroom and a very big kitchen, this was basically a perfect room for two people as we wouldn't spend that much time in here, most people prefer going to their houses anyways so the dorm isn't an obligatory thing.

"I'm going outside to bring needed stuff" Mina told me before heading out.

Which means that now's the perfect opportunity!

I immediately sat on my desk after she closed the door and pulled an empty book from the drawers.

I would have usually done what i'm about to do on my phone but I currently don't have one so writing is my best bet for now.

What am I trying to do you might ask?

Well... it's to write all the events I remember happening in the novel! I might undeniably forget some of them but I am a pretty focused reader so I think I'll be able to remember just fine.

I kept writing everything I knew about the following months or so in the book, it took me two hours and twenty pages but I believe I can manage it for now.

So for now... the first thing to worry about is... the powerscaling test.

As soon as I said that, the front door clicked and I could see the green haired elf smile with bags in her hand.

"What is that?" I asked while looking at her.

"Food and personal stuff!" she answered while putting them away.

"Oh okay" I guess I can be grateful to her for that, the author did write that Mina was a fantastic cook, which means I would be blessed with her cooking from now on...

"Oh but while I cook something for you, the chairman called you in his office so you might want to go!"

Obviously.... he allowed me to join the school even after losing and now I woke up from my deep sleep, I guess he wants to talk about my "special" case.

"Okay, see ya in a bit."

And then I left the dorm.

I had to ask a few people about where the chairman's office was and even ask someone to guide me but I was finally there, and just as I had read in the novel, there was no guard outside the door, just a big white door with a name plate attached to it.

"Chairman Edwan"

I knocked and a calm voice told me to enter.

I pushed the door open and was greeted with a luxurious and beautiful room, the floor was made of wood, but the walls were covered with expensive looking decorations.

"Please have a seat."

The man was sitting on a comfy chair behind a wooden table and gestured towards a chair in front of it, his handsome face accentuated his luxurious dress, and his white hair and beard connected perfectly.

He was just as described in the novel, which means I know exactly how to act to please him.

"Thank you."

"No problem, so now that you're here, there's a lot to talk about!" he had a big smile on his face, I guess that's the smile of a man who loves his job.

"I can imagine, and I am deeply grateful for giving me a chance despite what happened" the chairman loves people who respect him.

"You're too formal" he chuckled, "but anyways, what you did back then was impressive, a normal student wouldn't have stood a chance against Daemon."

"I don't understand what was impressive about it, I didn't stand a chance, and that's the truth" he also loves humble people, which is why he isn't fond of Daemon.

"Yes you're right, but you have the potential, and that's more than enough for us."

Potential huh... I don't know about that, I don't even have any powers currently and my anger meter is in the negatives...

But... I need to get on the chairman's good side, he is an incredibly powerful man, him having a good image of me would only be beneficial for the future arcs.

"I appreciate it chairman, I will try not to disappoint you."

I displayed a big smile, one filled with ulterior motives.
