Chapter 30: Talent System!

Chapter 30: Talent System!

Jay smiled happily when he saw that Rust had gotten such a good title! Good job buddy! Thanks for unlocking this for everyone in the future, this title sure suits you! Jay was so happy that he especially made a "mark" on Rust so that Jay could watch the young dwarf more often. This was something that Jay had been doing more and more lately, which was watching certain peoples lives, and just watching them go through their individual journeys.

It was fascinating to Jay every time as every journey was different and had a fresh character and a new outlook and goal.

Then Jay looked at the previous information about Rust. He then frowned as he realized that he had more systems that he didn't even know hadn't been setup! More handicaps that he didn't know he was playing with!

What Jay didn't know was that normally the god would have to pay for every single system they wanted to implement and every extra system cost more than the last exponentially! Simply 1+1 = 2 normally, but if there are more than 5 systems well then 1+1 = 4. It got expensive and fast.

Jay then sighed and said,"Fine, let's start the setup on these systems too, I guess..."

As soon as Rust made that achievement Jay had paused the world so all the gods were now sitting in the living room while waiting for Jay to come back from dancing around happily. Jay walked up, red in the face, and coughed in embarrassment.

"I just found something that I could use help with, anyone want to help?" Jay asked

Everyone raised their hands with joy in their faces. Jay smiled and then asked,"System, since I am requesting their help with designing, can you please show them the screens as well? Pretty please....?"

[... fine.]

All the other gods let out a small gasp as each one saw a small screen hovering before them.

Jay chuckled and said,"Thanks, System! You're the best! Anyways, guys, I want to create a couple new systems for the mortals, as well as comprehensively set the power scaling for this world! After we do all of that we will then set up the system overlay for all of that! Now, let's get started!"

Everyone, who was originally pumped for a project all had anxious expressions now! They all pretty much had the same thought,"I'm fucked!"

Jay received this message through the emotional link without them realizing it and he laughed heartily! He said to them,"Don't worry guys! We are working on this as a team! If you don't know something, lean on each other for support! You are gods! Act like gods!"

The gods stood straight again and regained their dignity again! Jay nodded in appreciation and then said,"First system! Talent!"

Phineas immediately threw out,"Colour based ranking system!"

Jay shook his head,"No, I don't like it as a theme. Denied. Next idea!"

Phineas didn't fret that his immediate idea wasn't chosen, this was just a brainstorming session after all. He just needed to continue thinking! New novel chaptš¯’†rs are published on novel(b)in(.)com

Centi popped out,"My lord, Why don't we just follow the example already set out by the Star system within the [Title] system?"

Jay nodded and said,"The talent spheres went up nine levels, very similarly to the title system. Most people in the system shop have some sort of F to SSS system going on, but it's a little confusing to understand. Yes. Let's go with that. The talents will be represented by the Star Level, ranging from 1 to 9."

Levi walked forwards, and asked,"Father, can we be clear on how exactly the selection for the talents to mortals will be decided?"

Jay raised an eyebrow as Levi's thought process reflected his true thoughts at the moment. Still lost in subtle grief. Yet he still had the thought to ask an important question. Jay smiled at his courage and patted his shoulder, saying,"What a great question."

Jay looked at everyone and asked,"So? How should it be done?"

Sol stepped up and offered,"What about pure random chance?"

Phineas shook his head and said,"I don't like that, evil could easily be given an unfair platform in that manner!"

Kraken then suggested,"What about tying talent level to their inherent fate?"

Jay raised an eyebrow and looked at Kraken in surprise. Kraken had an embarrassed look as everyone looked at her in surprise. She hurriedly continued,"W-Well! My idea is that if the person born is already fated to have a glorious future, why not let them have the ability to back them up. In this way, even if evil gets the upper hand, fate can lend a helping hand to the light and new heroes can ride their fate!"

Jay and the others paused for a moment before Stelara started to clap, which made everyone else start to clap! What a wonderful idea!

Jay then said out loud,"You heard her system! The Talent system will be ingrained in 9 separate star levels, similar to the title system, and talents will begin to appear on new children born from this point on! The talent star level will be determined by the fate of the person or creature in question! We shall confer the system to divide the talents based on the previous template talent pool!"

The previous 3 or 4 templates that jay viewed were free and had roughly 50 trillion different talents among all 4 of them. Making that many new talents would be an absolute pain, so Jay set up a way to cut out the useless talents and then put all of the talents into his new talent pool. The talent pool still had a terrifying 856 billion talents within it to give to the next generations that will be born!

[Running command and creation process!...]

[Complete!]

[Congratulations Ultima! The [Star System] has been successfully established! Talents will begin to appear starting within the next generation!]
