Chapter 13: Two Gods

Jay asked Phineas,"Your mother told me you wanted to create a God with me? Well then, let's go and do that!" Visit no(v)eLb(i)n.𝘤𝑜𝓂 for the best novel reading experience

Phineas' eyes lit up at this prospect as he was finally able to help in the creation which was seen as a huge honor! It was a feat worthy of bragging rights!

They entered the machine like usual and Phineas, who did not have any knowledge about this process, gaped in amazement at the colorful void in front of him.

Jay asked him,"Are there any gods you would like to see come to fruition?"

Phineas puffed out his chest, as this was his time to shine. He confidently said,"I believe there are 2 gods that should be created! One of which is the God of Music and the other which is the God of the Seas."

Jay thought about it and then said,"Why not both?"

Phineas' eyes widened and he said in a shaky voice,"Father will let me help with 2 gods?"

Jay shrugged and replied,"I don't see why not, now give me a moment while I sense which life forms would be best suited for these positions."

Phineas' eyes beamed with excitement that barely contained under his calm demeanor which was slowly withering away.

Jay sensed the planet and after a minute or 2 of deciding finally made up his mind.

"System bring forth the strongest male Cargenital Centipede and the strongest Deep Angler Octopus"

With 2 pops what appeared before them was a creature that looked very much like the plushies of octipi back on his old planet except there were glowing balls attached to some of its tentacles. As well that one, the other one looked like a bigger and much fatter or thicker version of a Centipede from Jay's old world.

Jay told Phineas,"Lets start with the God of Music, which will be this little Centipede guy here."

Phineas was curious so he asked,"What about this creature makes you believe it will be a good fit for a God of Music? I am not questioning you, I am simply curious!" He quickly added at the end.

Jay replied,"This guy is called the Cargenital Centipede. It's shell that protects its body is insanely thick and durable to enemies, however with a few drops of the special fluid it carries under its skin it can force parts of itself to come off to use as weapons or defense or even as an escape method. My reasoning is that I can make this centipede regenerative and give it the ability to make music with its discarded tissue. It will gain inspiration first from heaven and earth, then adapt as more music from the sentients is made!"

Phineas responded,"That is an amazing and novel idea Father!"

Jay nodded and then said,"The others accidentally injected their divine energy into the others, but I know you at least this well to understand that you won't make such a mistake."

Phineas noted furiously but Jay then said,"However I want you to inject your godly energy when working as the buffs given to everyone else made them much better gods."

Phineas was a little lost for words but only nodded his head and said,"I will try my best."

Jay chuckled and ruffled his hair playfully and said,"I know you will, champ. Now, let's get to creating. Remember, just follow your heart and everything will become simpler."

Phineas didn't exactly know what this meant but decided to take the warning seriously. Jay secretly laughed in his head as he watched his new son go through such a wide variety of complex emotions in such a short time frame.

Jay grabbed his tools and Phineas also felt the tools in his hand as well. Phineas smiled as he cherished this new feeling. Jay was surprised as Phineas did not ask "the question" like everyone else.

Jay and Phineas then started to work as they expanded and built this new God. The squid that was waiting just silently watched a God be created in front of it as its heart welled at the thought of also getting this heavenly boon!

Phineas watched Jay work for a few seconds, understood some basics and then started to work himself. He struggled at first as it seemed like he had to constantly revert changes he made because they were actually detrimental.

10 minutes in and Phineas looks at Jay who is smiling and humming while creating. Jay sees Phineas looking but simply smiles knowingly at him and flies away to continue creating something else.

Phineas was a little sad at his father abandoning him until his father's words echoed in his mind as he pictured his all knowing smile. "Just follow your heart and everything will become simple"

Phineas stopped creating as he took a deep breath and tried to invision what the creatures would eventually look like according to the description. Once he had a firm view in his mind, he exhaled and with a new fire burning in his eyes, started to make stroke after stroke with a clear yearning. Phineas fell deeper and deeper into concentration as he created more of his sibling.

Just like everyone before him, under the influence of Jay he injected godly energy into every stroke accidentally. He had completely forgotten that he was supposed to do this anyway and was simply having fun! Fun with his father!

Jay looked at him a little bit away as he thought to himself,"Good for him, finally discovering himself. Maybe he'll be alright after all." Then he thought,"Man I should've tried creating without hand holding a while ago but didn't think to try before Phineas haha!"

They finished up and a new god was born as the pair awaited the results of the system. Phineas was nervous while Jay was relaxed.
