The halo was a trademark of remnants.

Remnants were the term to describe hidden worlds. These hidden worlds were different from the small dimensional spaces in this world, they were usually naturally-formed, complete tiny worlds on their own that could be filled with life, or completely devoid of any life. There were also hidden worlds created by humans or non-humans, for various reasons, each with its own laws and requirements.

Without energy, these hidden worlds would gradually die as their barrier was absorbed by the main world. As a result, its remnants would appear in this world occasionally. Of course, there were hidden worlds that would simply shatter and vanish, their contents forever disappearing from this world.

When a hidden world was absorbed into the main world, the ‘Heaven’s halo’ would appear, signifying that it had been absorbed.

And the halo that had appeared in the sky was such a ‘Heaven’s halo’.

That also meant that in a distance not too far away, a hidden world had appeared after being absorbed into this world, becoming a remnant that they could enter and leave as they wished.

And there were demonic beast corpses littered all over the ground.

The remnants not only attracted human cultivators, but demonic beasts as well. It was due to the spiritual pills, fruits and flowers that were extremely enticing to demonic beasts, these items were not just helpful to their cultivation, but they were directly capable of raising their cultivation to the next level.

And the group of snakes instantly started to scatter in all directions.

Achieving his goal, Ning Wei Wu had a pale face as he descended onto the ground, after taking a look at the people around him, he was the first to charge inside with his soldiers behind him.

Behind him, 60 thousand people and horses trailed behind.

Murong Lin surveyed the surroundings. There were people from the different forces that were assigned to defend the nearby cities, this meant that most of the people here were the weaker cultivators sent here to suppress with the beast wave.

There was only one Sky Reaching realm expert, Ning Wei Wu, and over a hundred Manifestation realm experts.

“‘Eight Great Butcher Kings’, split up and look for cultivation resources, focus on getting the strengthening kinds. ‘Flowering Steel Trees’, both of you follow me in chasing the Xue clan.” Murong Lin spoke stealthily under his breath.

“Yes.” The ten of them responded unanimously.

The ‘Eight Great Butcher Kings’ hid and scattered into the crowd, while Murong Lin led the two ‘Flowering Steel Trees’ in pursuing the Xue clan.

After entering the valley, ten mountains appeared before them, their peaks standing at over a thousand feet tall as it was surrounded by clouds, each mountain with a base of 10 miles.

The eyes of the onlookers brightened, this kind of setting meant that there were great opportunities and treasures present.

“It seems to be the remnants of a sect?” Murong Lin thought to himself as he watched the soldiers of the South Village King split into ten different paths, each running towards a different mountain peak as they killed the demonic beasts that blocked their way. The South Village King led the remaining soldiers towards the tallest mountain that stood in the middle.

The protagonist, Sheng Yi had made the same choice as the South Village King, heading to the tallest mountain in the middle with multiple forces following closely behind, including the Xue clan and Murong Lin who naturally decided to pursue them in the rear.

There were quite a number of demonic beasts along his path that were killed by the people before him, and the remaining beasts that he fought were too weak to pose any danger to him. It didn’t take long for him to reach the foot of the mountain.

Someone had noticed a totem at the base of the mountain and cried out in shock, “Jade Snow sect!”

“It’s the remnants of a sect! We’re going to be rich!”

“Let’s go quickly! Before everything gets snatched away!”

The remnants of sects were the most anticipated among the different kinds of remnants, due to the fact that there were all kinds of cultivation resources hidden in these fallen hidden world sects, it had contained the entirety of a sect’s resources.

And those that were capable of creating a sect within a hidden world were at least at the cultivation of the Sky Reaching realm. That also meant that there were at least Sky Reaching realm resources hidden in this sect’s remnants.

“Jade Snow clan? Don’t know them.” Murong Lin pouted as he looked at the Xue (Snow) clan, “They can’t be related, right?” 

He then turned to Sheng Yi, but he was long gone despite being under the watchful surveillance of him and his two ninth layer Manifestation realm servants.

“Huh, is this what a protagonist is like?” Murong Lin knew that he wasn’t able to prevent Sheng Yi from obtaining treasures. As a time traveller, he definitely had knowledge of the future and it wouldn’t be strange if he had already gotten hold of the greatest treasure in this entire remnant by now.

“Let’s go!” Murong Lin glanced at the others, there were people that were still dealing with the demonic beasts. But some had also rushed up towards the mountain peak. Turning back, he looked at the Xue clan and spoke to the ‘Flowering Steel Trees’ next to him, “Today, we will make this place their graves!”
