Chapter 21: The New Home

Leila's abrupt departure from the meeting room left the branch leaders in a state of shock and confusion.

Without uttering a single word, she swiftly made her way to her waiting car, where a driver was ready to take her to the location where her son resided.

Previously, the moment Daniel fell asleep under her arms, they were able to safely travel into the Private Island Leila bought through a private jet she owned.

After a smooth and comfortable flight, they landed on the private island.

As they stepped onto the sandy shores, a feeling of tranquillity washed over them.

The island's natural beauty was breathtaking, with lush vegetation, pristine beaches, and clear turquoise waters stretching as far as the eye could see.

"I kinda missed this place. Now that I have taken a good look, I just realized how extraordinary and gorgeous this place is"

Daniel commented as he took his time gazing around an exclusive villa, which is their home, a secluded haven nestled amidst the island's tropical paradise.

"I'm glad you like it, sweetie''

''From now on, this would be our place and our home" Leila came from behind and hugged him.

"Yeah...this is our home"

He gazed at the horizon over the sea with expectations of the future and himself.

Nevertheless, minutes later, they strolled along the beach, feeling the soft sand beneath their feet and the gentle touch of the ocean breeze.

They explored the island's hidden gems, discovering hidden coves and engaging in water activities that brought them joy and laughter.

She cherished every moment as they spent time together, nurturing their bond and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

This is an Island where that's free from the binding of the Government and where no military could track down its location.

Due to the interference of technological advancement, Tess created, no unwanted visitors could land or even land a foot.

Moreover, the Island has been inaugurated with countless artillery hidden in any part of the island.

Hence, only a dead man would wish to die on this island.

It's a paradise where one wouldn't have to worry about Laws as long as they didn't break them.

Meaning to say, they have freedom unlike some who may be deprived of their countries.

The Island was known to have homed an overall population of at least 300,000.

Eventually, they entered the villa.

At some point, Daniel was alone in his room and without even bothering to knock on the door, she entered his room only to be greeted by an adorable sight.

"Do you like the clothes I bought for you? Is it up to your taste?"

Leila smiled while chuckling at her son who was admiring his new clothes on the reflection of the mirror.

"Mom, you almost shocked me there, can't you knock the next time you enter?"

"Hm? Why do I need to have your permission? Isn't everything mine to begin with?"

Leila joked and at the same time, the word 'Mine' was emphasized heavily as her eyes glistened while gazing at her son.

Oblivious to her stare, Daniel continued admiring himself in the mirror.

"I'm honestly quite fond of these clothes, and I wouldn't want to ask how much they cost"

"But still, what was it made from again? The Nano Technology Tess created?" Daniel asked.

"Oh? Even you know about Tess? I guess it isn't surprising if it came from the future"

Leila had no more doubts about his son's origin and it was time for her to converse about the plan.

Walking towards his bed, she sat down comfortably and after watching him become fond of his new clothes, Leila took a deep breath and called out to him.

"Son, if you knew the name, Tess, then, you'd probably have heard or known about the remaining Branch Leaders and my plan for the future is t-

"To rule over the world right?"

Daniel stopped his acts of admiring and chose to face his mother with seriousness.

Shocked beyond her core, Leila's eyes waver with her body trembling as she bit her lips.

"So...even you know about that too..."

She faced her head down to the floor as she became disappointed in herself.

It felt like what Daniel revealed was taboo, and she closed her eyes, afraid of the answers or words he was about to say.

"No, I don't think the word 'know' is the right word for it. Perhaps 'Ignorant' is the right word"

Daniel sat beside his mother and released a sigh that contained a mixture of feelings before he held her hand.

"Sweetie?"

Surprised by his sudden act, Leila looked into his eyes and became stunned by the clarity of it.

She thought those eyes would contain ridicule or even disappointment.

But instead, it was free from judgment.

"In the future, I had, no, it's more precise to say that before I had returned, I was an ignorant person that didn't realize how fortunate I am"

"All this time I had been feigning and running away"

"Perhaps at some point in time, I may have realized it, but my hatred clouded my judgment and now after experiencing everything, I know how ambitious you are"

"I know what struggles you had to go through and I know every single bit"

Leila at this point was scared to know what her son would think of her.

'Will he judge me? Will he hate me? Will he leave me?'

Countless questions kept roaming around her mind and her body weakened due to the fear of her son hating her.

But she was wrong.

"Just like what you have promised to me, this time, I won't let you shoulder it all alone. I don't care for one bit what you're going to do or what kind of person you are."

"The only thing that matters is that I love you and I'll be there by your side"

"But...are you disappointed in me? D-Do it even make sense for someone's mother to want to rule over the world? D-Don't you have any questions about why I have these ambitions?"

Paranoid about her son's thoughts, she clenched her hand together with his hand.

"Disappointed?''

''Nope, I don't even have any shred of disappointment towards you"

"From the past, I didn't try to understand and when everything was too late, only then did I realize how much you mean to me"

He passionately explained and Leila smiled in warmth but his Talk no Jutsu has yet to end.

"I won't stop my mother from reaching her goals, and if she needs help, I would support her in every way that I could"

Without any warning or word, Daniel sent down a kiss on her forehead.

A kiss where it contains only love for his mother, nothing more and nothing less.

And it's a warm kiss that he has completed pacifying their relationship wholeheartedly.

However, his act of kindness became nutrients for the seeds within her heart that she locked it to be broken, and now, it's growing and no one knows what results would it bring not even you or I.

"Well, I don't mind about the ambitions of taking the world. I see this as an opportunity to bring balance into the chaos that'll happen in the future"

"And it's a chance for the organizations to fish in some potential people that one day will be the backbone of humanity against the monsters in the future"

"For now, I want to take some fresh air and I'll give a list of these said potential people in the future"

Without minding her blank reaction, he left the room.

Minutes after he left, Leila finally regained back her state and she touches the spot where Daniel planted a kiss on her forehead.

'He...kissed my forehead?'

She smiled widely, however, it wasn't a pure smile.

It's a kind of smile that sent shivers down your spine, and her violet eyes had shades of unknown shapes.
